Re: which stand-alone sequencer?

I know you mentioned needing a graphical display, but I highly recommend the synthstrom deluge. It can do what you need and then some. Can go more in depth on my user experience if you'd like.

Congratulations Guy.
I highly recommend this expander to those who missed out on V1. I use mine every day. Indispensable.

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

What do the switches above the sequencer section actually do? I assumed they turn a stage on or off but that doesn't seem to be the case. Everything else about the 208c has been pretty straightforward to figure out after a few years of playing eurorack. Looking forward to finally plugging in some e...

Re: CardOC

Sascha, I figured it was the calibration because i have been able to use the quantizer properly (used it yesterday albeit a 2oc but still with the easel). Although i do get the weird semitone transposition thing. Never figured out why I'd get that. Glad I'm not the only one.

Re: CardOC

Im sure you know this, but part of the calibration process is determining the offset needed for the each ornament & crime app to work within your systems context. The o&c started with eurorack. There are tons of variables in each system that affect tuning, scaling, etc. The quantizer isn't going to ...

Re: CardOC

I had issues with my cardOC when the 218 was in the mix. I believe it had to do with the unbuffered inputs of the V1 card. Anytime I disconnected, I was able to get things working properly. Any chance of you trying it without 218 connected to 208? Also, when you did the calibration, was the 218 conn...

The 1979 DAO has a lot to offer. I know its not a traditional buchla oscillator but it covers a lot of ground. Highly recommended in my book.

Re: 1979 DSD: Digital Stereo Delay for Buchla systems

OK. Thanks for letting me know. Not trying to be incendiary, but one has to wonder, is this a 700 dollar version of a 350 dollar module, because the average price of Buchla is 600 bucks a unit? I mean... well. Come on...LOL. How can it be anything other. Is it really that much of a stretch to chang...

Re: "Get lost in the sounds of YouTube’s growing ambient modular synth community"

I dj for a living. I could rap endlessly about the sorry state of that industry. now you're talking, given that every man and his dog is a dj now, making rap songs about how shit the DJ industry is would have a huge market. PM me for my bank deets when you get rich I say "rap" quite a bit, but I me...

if this doesn't make sense to you, that's okay. You take words out of my mouth, I didn´t even know they were inside there. But, yes, makes sense to me. As natural born outsider, you first suffer from it some time, then you become proud about it, then you loathe all well funded shiny happy "inside" ...

Re: Buchla Easel Mods?

From my understanding, because of the way the reverb is applied in the circuit, you can't have separate oscillator outputs with reverb applied outputted to tinijax without modifiying the circuit itself. The reverb output goes to 1/4 outputs. It is not stereo so it can't be separated into 2 signals, ...

Re: Buchla Easel Mods?

If i understand your question right, the 1/4" outputs are just like stock outputs. I have done the mod and I use the tinijax outs for separate processing of the CO & MO, but if I want both oscillators to be processed by internal reverb, then I go through the 1/4" outs like normal.
Hope this helps.

Re: 1979 DVCM: Dual Voltage Controlled Mixer for Buchla systems

Anyone have some audio/video of the DVCM in action? Im interested in hearing/seeing how CV affects channel output. I know its not a 292, but I am curious as to the sound if a channel is sent, say, an envelope. I am in need of a mixer, and have my eye on this or possibly 2 NLM hMMs. Each have their o...

Re: "Combining" CV sources on the Music Easel?

I combine like that all the time. No toolbox needed. If you want some control over the amount of, say, randomness then the toolbox mixer helps. Obviously, using the index slider on easel would affect the voltage of SVS and random at the same time. The easel isnt as delicate as the 200e series. Exper...
