Re: Polyphonic sample player module?

I've never been a percussion enthusiast before and acquiring a DrumDokta pretty much changed that. I'm now having a lot of fun sequencing it with the Cirklon, but I wish I could play drum sounds I created with my modular instead. I'm not really feeling spending 2-3k on four ADDAC101/111 or Mungo g0...

Correct. I wasn't triggering it. I just set the slicer to loop and launch mode to toggle. I'm excited to play around with triggering more though.

I threw an Amen Break into bitbox, sliced it up and addressed the slices with the output from Tides. Definitely fun!!

I fade the break in at 0:40

I just got my Bitbox yesterday and I'm already contemplating getting a second because I love it so much. A second one would be perfect for me because I'd like to dedicate a stereo in/out channel so that I can realtime record a patch, then crossfade to that being what is coming out of my main outputs...

Can someone elaborate the chord mode a bit more? How much control do you have over chord selection? The manual just shows a U(nison?) P4 (?) and D7(?) chord. I'd like to get more details, like which chords are available, does it do inversions, how do I select root note, major, minor... The Sequence...

Warmth - downtempo/ambient/chillstep/deep/bass

I went into the woods yesterday, far off the trail, and found a grove where I sat and meditated and then made a bunch of field recordings. I came home and used the vibe of that place, and the sounds I had collected to make this...

Some Love - Future Garage

I've been obsessively listening to and mixing future garage for the past 3+ years, and producing various other genres for many years, but I finally made a future garage track of my own. You can here the track on its own here: https://soundcloud.com/jasonjob/some-love and check it out in a new mix of...

Mangrove can produce some pretty nice timbres for the basis of ambient sounds, especially with its formant, air and barrel CV inputs modulated.

Steady State Fate Propagate is a really nice trigger delay for simulating strums.

Would pair well with a Rings with its ability to let up to 4 notes decay in polyphony.

It's much harder to dial in the zero point with Blinds, though, which makes it less useful as an audio VCA. It does take some care, but I don't find it that difficult. To be fair though, I have an Quad VCA and a Blinds in my system and I do use the Intellijel module more often when I just need a st...

This looks like a nice system, though I'll echo the advice to start with just a small number of modules. One change I'd recommend considering is swapping the Intellijel Quad VCA for a Mutable Instruments Blinds. Blinds gives you 4 VCAs too, and like the Intellijel module also allows you to mix up to...

Question about this. It seems people are getting different results from syncing pam's externally. I really want to get once, but I had problems with the original one so Im a bit concerned. I would be looking to just sync clock/run from ableton and logic through an intellijel uMidi. Is it suggested ...

Dubby, summer vibes, slow house track

Where I live in Canada it is already feeling pretty summery. Here's a new tune that captures a bit of that warm sunshine. I pulled out my guitar for some skank chords and added some voice for a more organic feel. Enjoy. :)

I think there's some confusion about drift and display issues going on here. What those screenshots tell me is that 120 in Pam is not the same as 120 in Logic or Ableton. Drift would mean that the time in between the hits are inconsistent, which I don't think is the case. Any two pieces of gear, be...

Been clocking my system with Pamela's new workout for quite a while now, and it's absolutely 100% tight, so I reckon there's something else in your chain causing that. I'm not sure that is true for my unit. If I reduce my chain down to be only PNW and just record the triggers it is outputting, I ge...

Why not go the other way around? Use Pam as the master, it's what it's for I don't use my Pamela's New Workout as my master clock because I notice a small but significant drifting in the timing of its outputs when running as master. If I clock PNW with an ERM Midiclock through an Intellijel µMIDI t...
