Re: Buchla Easel 208c Patch Sheet

A little bump for all the new easel owners, should be getting mine within the coming weeks. I made/posted this back in January, I also got the ok from Buchla to post it here, they also got my permission to use it in whichever manner they please. I also made some patch sheets for the wonderful 208 To...

Re: New wiggler here, have a few questions about the Easel

I received my easel back and the sound is unbelievable. Everything in the 208p works as should. It works better than I imagined. The sound is the best I have heard Would you be willing to do some demos of your unit? I’d love to hear/see an example of what a well-built, well-calibrated Easel sounds ...

Re: New wiggler here, have a few questions about the Easel

I bought a prebuilt 208p a few months ago. The builder was a solid honest guy, while I believe he really did his best, things didn't feel right. Several "issues" were obvious to me, several other issues I became aware of only after I had it repaired and I saw a working easel. I got in touch with Con...

And
i'm definitely not holding my breath on a fix given the info i received from foxtone a few months ago
I was told that this is a known issue. They were vague as to when it would be repaired. You mind telling us what the info you received from Foxtone?

I'm not 100% sure that this will work with an original Buchla case but it may help:

Re: Where should I start?

With said budget I would purchase an easel. You could start with an easel and buy some 200 modules down the road to compliment it. What are your plans? If your focus is on using midi controllers, then I feel as if the 208c is probably the best way to go. For an original easel experience I would go w...

Re: My (possibly) amazing win-win concept?

From a sheer business standpoint, rather rare that you would be willing to miss out on the cut. Even if it were only 5% or whatnot. Something to consider would be quality of the pcb's. One possible negative outcome would be if, down the road there was a fault in the pcb's, you sold them so your the ...

Re: Switchcraft Tini-Jax overmolded cables availability?

I have yet to use Switchcraft Tiny-Jax, so far I've used BMM and Steffens. I have to say I much prefer the Samodular cables, somewhere I was reading that someone didn't like the metal, is this due to the fact that it could damage the panel? What are the characteristics of the switchcraft cables that...

:foul:

How dare they make beautiful tonal music with those synthi's! I always hear this isn't possible, not what they were designed for. This must be verboten!

Great video :sb:

Re: Every SYNTHI needs a Sister Card

I really enjoyed that!

Being that I have limited knowledge of the workings of a synthi, I cannot really comment on the card. I can say that it was a great performance. It's always a pleasure to see someone throw down a killer groove with a synthi.

Re: 1976 Buchla 266 Source of Uncertainty

I also believed it was panel *and* PCB's from the garage sale. And for me that meant the price was fine. Now seeing either neglect or intent to muddy the PCB portion, then the price does not necessarily change -see above- but the value -to me- has dropped significantly. The description is misleadin...

Re: 1976 Buchla 266 Source of Uncertainty

I find the initial wording of the sale rather vague. Fact of the matter, no ones going to buy this thing without talking to Marc first. I doubt he would have withheld this info at point of sale. I can't imagine someone buying this without questioning the product. What does this do? Maybe it gives Ma...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

So if you buy one can you buy the new suitcase and keyboard later? I really want a easel but this would break up the payments. I'm not sure, it hasn't been offered in that constellation before. They were selling the suitcase and the 208 without the 218e. For sure a good idea, maybe Buchla USA takes...

Re: 1976 Buchla 266 Source of Uncertainty

The seller is Mark Verbos (Verbos Electronics). Given the amount of time that he spent with Don repairing old Buchla gear, as well as going through his schematics and modernizing them, I think that the price reflects what this is: an original run of of the 266. It wasn’t assembled by Buchla elves i...

Re: 1976 Buchla 266 Source of Uncertainty

I saw this and was wondering.. if I got it this right (according to the seller) the panel is original, the rest was built with new components? That seems to be asking quite a bit of money for a module that was not completed by Buchla and Associates.
