Re: Bionic Lester mk III: Sound Demos

Ok, i get it now.
The comb. How it can make your sound into an infinite number of new sounds. Just a twiddle, and theres a whole new world of timbres.
Talk about complexity in a system. I need to sell some oscillators i think.

Bionic lester is ace! As is all mk3 ime modules ive tried.

Re: Bionic Lester mk III: Sound Demos

I bought it. Love it. Though, Anybody have any idea what to use the comb for, except some weird Lo quality delay/phaser effect thing? I like all the other filters except the comb actually. Just makes all sounds sound either cheap, or noisy. Plus, modulating it with a smooth wave makes it crackle lik...

Re: Intellijel Rubicon 2 vs SSF Zero Point Oscillator

This is so boring im having a migraine just by skimming through the first three pages, and it totally made me forget what i came here for XD Now i remember: From the demos ive heard of rubicon, im hearing a more clinical sound (which is good). The zpo appears to be a bit more «warm» (also good). I a...

Re: Bionic Lester MK3

Ah i see why you dont want to show off the lester under heavy fm; cause it doesnt take it so well :D Ive aquired one now, and were also a bit sad when i first tried it. Pretty vanilla. But soon as i put it in series, im hooked. There is something so good about the sound of this filter. Its just sati...

Re: HERTZ DONUT MARK III - shipping now!

Especially with TZFM I like sweeping the modulator from slow LFO range into audio range... Exactly. Also, i mostly use crossovers between saw and square as modulators. Makes most splosh and bits. For fm of filters i like a saw best, so a saw on the aux output would be swell. Its ok to just use kerm...

Re: How many filters do you own/use per xU

I have 3x 84hp with: - natural gate - stereo dipole - bionic lester Want to buy a random source variable and a jove. Anything with a clear resonance :) Filters are as much for fming than actually filtering. The stereo dipole make some of my most favorite electric jellyfish sounds. Its nice to suppor...

Re: HERTZ DONUT MARK III - shipping now!

I recently bought this module back from the guy i sold it to, and i still think it should have alternate waves - square triangle and saw- on at least one operator + more frequency divisions, and more free frequency ranges for the operators in free and follow mode. It still sounds great. Drones are p...

Re: HERTZ DONUT MARK III - shipping now!

I know nobody actually cares but I wanted to post an update: still haven't been able to successfully run the HDMK3 firmware. I've now tried three operating systems (all Mac, but all different) and still no luck. Getting real tempted to send it to Scott, but fearful this could turn into one of those...

Re: Filter Hunt

I could PM you a demo sometime this week. Polaris can definitely sound Roland-liquid, even though in many demos you might hear a more distorted character. that happens when you overdrive its input (or of course use its switchable distortion). but nothing compares to my 303 in the aqua stakes :) Id ...

just so others are aware. keep the Polaris input gain on the low side and try tweaking the resonance compensation trimmer if you want it to sound more like whatever other Filter 8 or Jove you maybe think you want more :) I had a filter 8 for a week, have a Polaris and a uJove fwiw. Re: SSF Stereo Dipole filter

Hello. My stereo dipole filter has gotten a bit of a dirty pot lately. Its the "stereo freq" big knob that gives a bit of noise when its turned at around the 10 - 12 o clock mark. Any way to fix this without sending it in? Thanks Have you wiggled it a load? Just taking the pot through full travel m...

Re: Bionic Lester mk III: Sound Demos

Can we hear some audio-rate FM demos of the Cutoff aswell, please?
Focusing on the filter, so maybe with some nice saw wave or something as audio source, that makes it simple to make out what the filter is doing.

Re: Bionic Lester MK3

What do you mean slow response to fast and heavy modulation? It doesnt track fm well? Im drooling for this filter, and i dont known why. 90s virtual analogs mostly sucked imo, but still this seems so nice. Can anybody FM this filter a bit hard and make a video/soundclip of it please? I fm everything...

Im curious, when will a new batch Of hdmk3 be ready for shipment to dealers? Im guessing after these bugs are squashed? External fm is kind of essential. I sold my hd, and miss it. Double Andore mk3 would be ace but the Malgorithm on Modulargrid looks more like a cut out from an internet pic of a two years old handout Scott used at Superbooth for a few upcoming modules. Would be nice to know a bit more about the clicking issues reported. Seems like a nice, although expensive filter, but i like to fm things and for them to stay clean. I know its IME so not clean clean, but certainly not damn wtf is this unusable mess i paid 500 euro for dirty either :)
