Re: Nominate a member who needs some Free Patch Cables the most...

(No catch, no company affiliation, just a regular dude gifting a drawer full of cables I don't use because I'm the sort of weirdo who only uses cables that match so I have an entire other set of cables I use. These sit in a drawer.) * 10x Black rubber, ~10-12" long, from Moog IIRC. * 12x Grey rubber...

Nominate a member who needs some Free Patch Cables the most...

...someone legit struggling who doesn't even have enough cables to fully patch what modules they already have, maybe? Or any other real story of why they ought to be the one for some free stuff. Some young kid with no job yet, maybe, yer kid brother/sister/whatever. .? ...and I'll pick the best/funn...

The aptly named euro Dub Delay is worth a look, in an inexpensive modern interpretation sense.

Instruo tanh3 can also be used to pump line level signals up to euro levels. Does it better than the dedicated input module I have in fact.
fwiw, the Ladik A-520 (4hp) is 4x Line to Euro preamps.

$50.

Works great. I have two of them.

Approaching 2yrs since it was announced, is there any consensus one way or another? Is it more than a pretty face / cool looking display? Worth the cost and hp?

Re: Making LFOs more complex

I primarily use this combination for Analog modulation of my AFG and more, and the Coldmac really delivers in this arena, imo, as a Wavefolder, Crossfader, etc: * URA + Coldmac + 2x uLFOs + 4x Quad-Attenuators * the Microvolt's modulation (Function, Random, Mixer..) * the Grandmother's modulation (L...

Re: Tasty Chips ECR-1 Convolution Reverb

ErbeVerb is its own thing/sound, and uniquely badass. Read up about it's design/features, if you haven't yet. Z-DSP and the cards, Valhalla/etc, are uniquely badass, also, (well, unique in eurorack. Valhalla OTB is great). The Mungo and the ECR-1 are uniquely Convolution... (in eurorack, at least). ...

Be goals-oriented.

Know your existing gear.

Work more on skills rather than things.

Re: SSF zero point oscilator

Thoughts of having two expanded ZPOs and a Stereo Dipole in my rack makes me happy. I'd like those sounds. All that and two of the new Entity Percussion modules, too, whenever they're ready. I miss my Entity Percussion. I dunno how he gets the Entity Percussion to have that woody timbre but man it m...

Re: Do any of these guys believe in god? (Cwejman after his passing)

I don't believe in any Gods and I find that behavior gross, at this personal scale, in small communities in particular. The day before news of his passing I was watching two particular used Cwejman modules on Reverb. Within hours of the news both modules, from two different sellers, had dramatically...

I pick mine based on sound, then features, then the rest... The sound from one VCO to the next varies so so much. I have Pittsburgh, Moog, Korg, Livewire, and Bubblesound, all Analog and fairly straightforward, yet all sound markedly different from one another. Like Filters, every bit as personal an...

Re: Regret worrying about hp?

I pay almost zero attention to a module's HP unless I'm trying to fill a specific gap or it feels cramped somehow.

Cases will grow as necessary. Modules are everything.
