Re: What’s sound projection source you using?

PA speakers and Near-field Monitors are quite different.

I wouldn't want to have to use either for the other role.

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

I find various Behringer products to be in poor taste, and particularly so. There's a trolly, cunty, pettiness about it that goes above and beyond what I find acceptable.

I suspect it's a top-down problem with @Uli himself.

Re: Passive, external mixer to lower hot euro signal?

Are you sure you need to?

Many mixers and interfaces accept euro signals fine.

I run my euro into old Mackie analog mixers, newer Behringer Digital Mixers, old Interfaces of a couple of brands, and various other non-euro items with zero issues.

Just adjust their Input Gain accordingly.

Whatever you do DO NOT take it back to guitar center to have them try and fix it.
... no doubt ... didn't they just file chapter 11 and start closing stores again? ... for good this time?
They're restructuring debt, not going out of business.

Re: Standalone preamp that can boost instrument/line to eurorack level?

I'd find somewhere to squeeze a Ladik 4hp module, in the side of the case or anywhere really.

Or drill a few holes in the panel of any other module that has some unused panel space and hide the Ladik guts inside / behind your panels with just the jacks out front.

Re: I'm addicted to Phasers.

I love Phasers. Currently I have:

Pedals:

* Bi-Phase
* Doppelganger
* MoogerFooger

Euro:

* Phase 45

And I'd like an AJH Next Phase, for euro, next, and that may be the last one and my only Stereo unit.

Re: Best Volume Control option for Ensoniq ESQ1

However, in this thread (linked below) a person claims they got both an Ensoniq branded CV Volume Pedal to work *and* some other generic one they had on hand. There was some discussion of a mod needing to be done to a regular CV Exp Pedal to make it work, but that link is dead, and refuted anyway, s...

Re: Best Volume Control option for Ensoniq ESQ1

No, a CV Pedal won't work for this, not directly at least. You need a MIDI expression pedal, set to Transmit/TX CC#7 (not Channel 7, but MIDI Control Change 7), plugged into the ESQ-1s MIDI In, and if you already have something plugged into that MIDI in (like a DAW or Sequencer, etc) then you'll als...

Re: Dear Audacity: please die. Horribly.

Can we get back the more interesting question... why would anyone subject themselves to using Audacity for multitrack audio in the first place; really, why do that? What motivates this choice, and what on Earth kept it going for ten years? On its best day Audacity is an okay free alternative to ster...

Re: Do you use only Eurorack or a mix?

Anything. Everything. Whatever works. Form-factor is probably the least relevant part of it all. That is so interesting, and enviable, to be hoenst - I wish I cared less about form-factor and just made music with everything. To me, interface is the most relevant part of it and it 100% affects when ...

If I'm not mistaken isn't RDJ one of the first users of the Cirklon? That would be my guess why it's so popular among the many other obvious reasons.
