Re: ACL Sinfonion

I love the Sinfonion, but I do have a feature request related to the arpeggiator. To me it would be great if a firmware update would allow to switch the arpeggio channel to a normal channel (the CLK input would turn into a trigger input like all other channels). While the apreggiator is a cool feat...

Sinfonion. It makes it all sound more musical.

I have to say, I kinda like the "THIS" and "THAT" input names. Maybe Expert Sleepers should have followed that naming convention for the Disting.

On the 0-Ctrl announcement video, he calls it zero-control, oh-control, and no-control at different times. Patch it any way you want and pronounce it any way you want.

Is there a way we can find what firmware version we have? Also, can you elaborate on contacting dealers about firmware upgrade if we have 1.0? It's not possible to update the firmware ourselves?
The firmware version is displayed briefly at power up (mine shows "Sinfonion 1.1").

Does the module light up or anything once connected via USB? I’ve tried 3 different cables and nothing has happened so far.
The module doesn't light up, as noted in the manual section on firmware updates.

Re: Qu-Bit Chord v2

I used a Sinfonion, which in Tune mode lets you generate any octave voltage. I verified the voltage output with a Mordax Data. You should be able to use any module that outputs a 1V/oct signal, like a sequencer, MIDI to CV, etc.

Re: Qu-Bit Chord v2

Received my brand new Qu-bit Chord V2 yesterday. Working great now and I'm excited to have it, but I had to go through the calibration procedure in the manual before all four notes would play in tune in unison poly mode. One was nearly a full semi-tone sharp prior to calibration. Fortunately the cal...

Re: Kawai K Series

I used to have a K5. I liked the sound. It was good at breathy new-age pads and bell-like tones that were popular in the 80's, but it was very difficult to program so I mostly stuck to the presets provided by Kawaii and others. I remember finding a ton of sounds online back in the day which could be...

Somewhere in the middle Richard mentions how many modules they made, and suggests if you want one to pre-order at Perfect Circuit or Sweetwater or anywhere else that ordered some. They have no immediate plans to manufacture any more, although he would like to and may look into bank financing for ano...

Is the zero post count trustworthy? In the "Site Migration Completed" thread, go to December 27 (page 11) and look at user "evil primeval" just above my post. It says they have zero posts, but obviously they made at least one post in that thread!

Re: FH-2 - Two MIDI channels, two pairs of notes/envelopes?

I just got my FH-2 and haven't played with the configuration tool yet, but looking at your configuration I think you probably need to change "Base Output" and "Base Gate" for the second voice. Refer to the docs about "output numbering".

For those wondering about sliding nuts, my previous case was a Pittsburgh Structure EP-270 with 4-40" sliding nuts, and these modules fitted fine in there even with the short panels. Regarding MIDI adapters, check out https://minimidi.world/ which gives more detail than you'll ever need about TRS MIDI adapters, but more importantly, it says the Poly 2 uses a Type B adapter, and there are links at the bottom of the page where to buy them.

I don't have one, but for your requirements I would try the MC-101. I like what I've heard, it's portable, and the menus look tolerable. All you need is that and some headphones. I personally would shy away from anything that requires a separate power source: more cables to manage, one more thing to...

Awesome work on the migration! Glad to see the forum on modern software. FH-2 plus a FHX-8GT gate expander. i use it with Elektron boxes ! i send out several clocks + start + reset over the FHX-8GT ( gate/trigger expander......which is NOT needed finally, but you want to have enough CV outs ready beside the clock-start-restart thing, no ? ) IMHO, there is no competition...
