Re: Ensoniq Lovers Unite
I own both the SQ-80 and a Mirage. Mirage has been in the shop for ages (Covid and unexplained issues). I scored my SQ-80 for 100 bux from a kindly gentleman who just wanted it gone to make space. The first time I had my Mirage operational and was playing with preset disks I was beaming from ear to ...

The news about the editor got me off the fence. Knew I’d end up with one of these eventually. Korg is absolutely killing it!

Re: Behringer VCS3
I think if I had the kind of money to get a new original, I would and it would be the coolest thing ever. I’d be pinching myself. Not being near that financial position, if I was inclined, I’d get the B version, and it would be the coolest thing ever. Stand in coolest thing ever. I’d be pinching mys...

Here Rex, been there a few times. I had mine zapped. I know a guy who swears that his started when he started eating antacids like crazy. I dunno if that’s true, but I share for the halibut. Wishing you a speedy recovery and a major relief from all the shit you’re going through now. It’s got to get ...

Welcome! I’m a noob to patching and am sticking to semi mod so I can’t really help but can say, that you’ll see a lot of your type of posts on this forum. There is a section here made for new folk. Lots of great stuff there. Everyone will tell you to start with a bigger case though. hehehe Best of l...

Re: The Utility Modules for Semi-Modular Synths Discussion
Honorable mention: Dreadbox Kappa2. Had serious potential to be exactly what we are looking for, but needs to be expanded. I would add a patchable LFO, LPG, wavefolder, and make the S&H and EG more patchable. It also needs clock in/out/reset. I’ve got one of these but alas I don’t know what I’m doi...

Have heard - errr somewhere - that the PPCs tend to loosen up with use. Dunno if that's true.

Can’t preorder now. “Store will open soon”. I missed out. Were you on the preorder list? Maybe contact them directly? I think I remember them saying in one of the newsletters that only those on the preorder list would given links to access the store. I can't be sure though! Nope. Just read about it...

Awesome to hear! I’m merely a semi mod guy and am still super excited. I’m 56 and it makes me feel like kid when I think of all I have to learn and get that super focused vision on music and sound and technology. New mountains to climb. Have a blast!

Re: Your favorite iOS synths.
Sorry for bringing this thread back from near death. I discovered Mononoke this week after a long hiatus from considering the iPad as a serious music-making tool. It has something that hits me in the right place. In some ways it seems like what the Lyra-8 would be if it was easy to tune and had a f...

I’m waiting for the Tooro from Fred’s Lab as well. Hoping I have the dough for the OXI when it arrives (just bought a couple needed pedals).

Re: If you were starting over; what would you do differently?
As a patching noob this thread is great to read. From my personal experience I would recommend to anyone like myself, to listen more. I would come to this site and go right to the Artist/Discussion section. Listen to whatever comes up there. Go down musical listening rabbit trails and find the stuff...

Re: help a guy out - arturia brutes aplenty
Ok, I had to prove it to myself ... hooked Arturia Brute to Focusrite itrack doc, to AUM and recorded and success. I’m sure there are several of you that have done this but anyhow, I have enough there to record without computer if I choose to.
