Guess I'm in the minority on Mimeophon. I took out a Modcan Dual Delay to try out the Mimeophon in its place and so far I'm missing the Dual Delay. I think the Mimeophon just makes things a little too muddy for my tastes, but I'm going to give it more time. Squid Salmple is probably my favorite. It'...

I haven’t used any of the ES options but looking into them and was wondering is there any time lag at high resolution when doing track by track? In a typical set up, like adding a modular track over a drum track, then another and another of various gears. There is latency for all audio interfaces, ...

I hadn't see the Audient before but it looks like it has dual ADAT, which is pretty unique and gives you a lot of flexibility in the future for Expert Sleepers and adding additional I/O through a mixer or rackmount interface. I don't think you'll really need preamps for line level synth stuff. I'm u...

Ok I think I fixed it. Posting the solution for any future internet searchers. From the RME manual you will find that the interface will automatically try to sync to incoming signals if it can, otherwise it will send clock out. My guess is that it sends clock to the ES-3, which clocks the ES-6, and ...

ES-3/ES-6 and sample rate issues

Hi ES folks. I just picked up an ES-6 MK2 to compliment my ES-3 MK3 and I can't seem to figure out how to properly interface it with my computer. I'm using an RME UC interface in OSX Mojave. I've used the ES-3 to send CV for years without issue, but as soon as I plug in the ES-6 all audio on my comp...

One thing to keep in mind is that UAD interfaces have DC coupled outputs so you can use Ableton CV Tools or Expert Sleepers plugins with them if have some CV stuff.

I have an RME UCX, which is a great interface, but it'd be nice to have that feature.

Korg Poly61. I don't care if it's like an analog polysynth with an atari choking the shit out of it, the synth just sounds great no matter what you do. It's very biting, sharp, controlled, but like the Rancor from Star Wars. It uses a filter that was never used again, and it sounds heavy. Even thou...

Space was the gateway drug for me, then I picked up some of their others pedals, and ultimately an Eclipse. For me the pitch FX are the most special. The Ortofon Arkiv does too, not sure if they still make that though. These are lame answers and not helpful to anyone! Respectfully your question is a rather lame one. You are asking people to throw out product names without any context. Eurorack allows individuality, but you are not sharing any of your individual needs with anyone. I have been to modular grid, all ...

You can look for an MPC 2000XL and MFC-42.

Is there a reason you want it all in one unit? If you have a sampler that you like working with find a filter that you like the sound of and connect the two.

felt kind of cheap (the metal enclosure didn't feel very reinforced) This is my only gripe with the Kijimi. The case feels very much like something you'd find in a DIY project, and not what I would expect for a synth of this level. And speaking of enclosures, I've researched a little bit and saw so...

The easiest way to do this for you might be to put all of your FX on Thru channels so you can manage the flow on the front of the patchbay, then decide how you want I/O from your computer to work. Play with it with just two or three fx units hooked up and it should make a bit more sense and give you...

Dude, the gear doesn't make the music, people do. I think that only applies to acapella groups. No market for Behringer there, you're correct. I know Behringer are not doing this to be altruistic, quite the opposite, but they are giving people, probably younger people, creative options that they di...

The problem is the whole Behringer thing has turned it into "Class" wars. Where some, a minority, with expensive gear have took offence at the cheap clones, and some, a minority again who could not previously own such gear but can now get a very good copy of are clashing. And sadly it's taking over...
