Re: More CVs into DFAM

SQ-1 is great but there would also be no reset. I know it has no reset but it is still way better than DFAM's own sequencer I use the step jump button as a manual reset button, and if you press stop button at least it goes back to first step. In DFAM you have to stop the sequencer and manually adva...

Re: More CVs into DFAM

It would be nice if the sequencer could be hacked. Number of steps and reset.
FM audio input would be nice too.

how portamente could be sent via MIDI anyway? portamente is a synth feature and MIDI can´t handle it :despair: OSC 1 glide time CC5 (same as 0-coast) Portamento on off CC65 (same as 0-Coast) If you make a sequence it works when you play the pads but the sequencer does not send it (tested with midi ...

Re: Novation Circuit Mono Station

I also have used osc1 sequencer for internal sounds ( without osc2/ring mod), osc 2 sequencer to 0-coast via midi and mod sequencer to DFAM via cv. There is a bug ( already informed) were portamento is not sent via midi, otherwise I would use OSC1 to 0-coast with slides

Re: Maths channel 1 out, into OSC FM

You can get pretty crazy sounds, I sent 0-coast square into ch1, modulated it with ch2 and then into 0-coast fm...I could jam for hours..there was some more patching involved, I just do not remember...like a slope circuit as an extra OSC..maybe was that one into ch1 :hmm: ...just patch, experimentan...

Re: Disting Feature Requests

Sysex via midi I do not know if the disting hardware would allow to send sysex messages but would be cool to be possible to store different configurations of other hardware and send them via disting. p.s. and its not a "nice little sequencer" but the best in its size. Prove me wrong.
There are lots of powerful, interesting yet small sequencers; like prizma, euclidian circles, Pittsburgh Modular Game System etc...depending on your needs..

Re: DFAM Sequencer Module

Octone!! +1000 Its the best smallHP sequencer in eurorack but it seems only few people know or talk about it. I thought it looked nice until I saw the price, 300€. You need two for 16 steps sequence...600€ That buys you a SQ1 and DFAM.. Of course if mone is not a problem look like a nice little seq...

Re: DFAM Sequencer Module

I wondered how that might look like but than I‘ve found your modular grid link in the signature. This is pretty cool :tu: is that available somewhere or a private DIY project? It is not exactly that one, I used that one from modular grid as a reference. I just took the bottom part of the sq1 away a...

Re: DFAM Sequencer Module

Does it have to be a rack mounted module? If yes, please stop reading  If not, the Korg SQ-1 might be a possibility: Korg SQ-1 My SQ1 is rack mounted, there is still room to add a 3u4hp module horizontaly and 2 trs jacks disting mk4 midi...a 1u26hp could also be mounted instead of the 3u4hp o...

Also for those who do not know it, you can use Dexed as an editor for volca fm..with a library with hundreds of dx7 presets available.

Re: looking for a performance mixer in the 200€ range

I do not understand how eurorack mixers can be that expensive with so few features...I msy add a 3/4 Ch small mixer with HP out at some point but for anything else I would use a normal mixer. 200€ gets you quite nice stuf, I just paid 250€ for a mtk 12 with multiracking capabilities...and you can ge...

Re: Modern FM synth options?

I guess you already know you can send digitone midi tracks lfo to FM tracks via midi loop, thst would give you 4 extra LFO. I you want a more "powerful" yet cheap 6 operator fully featured FM synth look for a volca FM, it is not a toy. It sounds very nice, 3 note polyphony only. Sequencer is fun wit...

Flanger, Phaser, Delay, stutter edit, tape echo, filter..... and a bunch more, for around $100.00USD :tu:
Requires a little DIY, but worth the effort!

My under 100€ second hand modules; MI Peaks 90€, MI Kinks 60€, MI Links 50€, WMD SSF MMF 90€, Korg SQ-1 70€ (which is inside my eurorack case, so it does count)

CV to assignable Midi CC (at least via .txt file) I would love to be able to send modulation from my modular to midi hardware; for example two complex LFOs sent from the modular to Model:Cycles, which only has an LFO per part As far as I know the only CV to midi conversion methods now are G-6 clock...
