Does this help any?

Limited ENOsc to 4 or 5 oscillators with medium spread and some wave shaping to make the sound more distinct. Stuck to banks 1 and 2 to keep it 12 tet.
Yes, thank you!

Re: Ensemble Oscillator from Matthias Puech & 4ms Company

Thanks for your reply. So, once a "scale" is defined, the order of the interval series belonging to each scale is fixed as linear? e.g. Scale #1 is [0, 1, 3, 4, 6, 7], 12TET. With modulation applied to Root or Pitch offsets, could the order be changed to [4, 7, 6, 0, 3, 1] then [4, 0, 1, 6, 7, 3] th...

Re: Ensemble Oscillator from Matthias Puech & 4ms Company

I'm hoping my question will deflate suspicions of this being little more than a Fourier-based arpeggiator, which is sort of what it seems like based on reading the manual.

Re: Ensemble Oscillator from Matthias Puech & 4ms Company

Is it possible to modulate the sequence/order/series of the harmonics? Am I correct in understanding the “Root” offset controls the ordering position of a harmonic degree, with modulation resulting in various inversions and permutations of the “scale” degrees? Or is this affected by the “Pitch” offs...

One more question: If each WAV is 533 bytes, what is the maximum number of individual single-cycle WAVs the mk4 can scan within a folder?

Ah, this was the issue: I neglected to nest! I had microSD > wavetables > 00-63.WAV. I appreciate the clarification.

Re: firmware 4.17 issues

Okay, I thought so. All 63 WAV files in my 'wavetables' folder are 556 bytes. Should I rather include a single concatenated WAV instead of these? If so, this requires a playlist_wavetable.txt file, correct?
Thanks so much for your help with this.

Re: firmware 4.17 issues

Maybe I'm still misunderstanding, sorry. In your video demo for algorithm K2, wavetables (i.e. different single-cycle waveforms) are 'scanned' via LFO into Y input without glitchiness, no? I was unable to achieve this result when I tried myself. I had individual WAV files for each waveform, rather t...

Re: firmware 4.17 issues

Perhaps, yes. Do you mean the phase position within a single wavetable?
To be clear, changing individual wavetables can only be manually controlled? If so, would it be possible in a future firmware update to use a control voltage input for changing wavetables?
Thanks!

Re: firmware 4.17 issues

the Y input seems non-responsive for the K-1 through K-5 algorithms. It will only change wavetables manually via S knob. Anything I can do to fix this?

Perhaps an implementation of Functional Iteration Synthesis for the Disting mk4 is feasible? Especially in light of the relatively recent Lorenz equation and pulsar synthesis implementations. Re: General CV questions

Are the "Note CV" inputs quantized in PROGRAMMABLE mode? Is there any way for them to behave similar to the CV inputs in VCO mode? Perhaps there is an input parameter list I am neglecting to observe? I should mention I am using the breakout expander to send the output to an external synthesizer. Tha...

yes. hence my failed attempt at adjusting the trimmer …

maybe sending the gate output to an inverter would help… i’ll have to try that. still not ideal to necessitate polarization in the signal chain every time, though

Re: Make Noise 0-Ctrl

I just want to be able to manually retrigger a gate output from a single stage (rather than from GATE ALL) while it is active. e.g. I select stage (key) 7, it outputs its gate. While it is active, I select it again and the same gate signal is sent. etc. For now, I am unable to achieve this relative...
