Re: Ableton Live 11 Announced

We can report the compensation issues at ableton.centercode.com. The more the issue is raised there the more chance developers will see and consider fixes.

Re: Ableton Live 11 Announced

I sure hope PDC in Live 11 is better. Me too. Me three. And latency. When I plug in through a guitar or bass and play through an amp sim, the latency is noticeably higher than in Logic or Bitwig. I would really like them to fix that. Same problems here. Monitoring through the interface helps but th...

USB MIDI can be okay. What types of equipment are you trying to connect to the computer with USB?

I posted this in the other thread, but for this one also.. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=230213&p=3333431#p3333431 The MiRack update out today has 3 new MIDI out modules which works with CoreMIDI, Audiobus and AUv3, MIDI CC and trigger input modules. Fieldscaper on iPad is pretty amazing too. Also Spacecraft and Borderland Granular. I like all three better than Samplr.
Borderland is great. I purchased Fieldscaper but have not learned how to use it.

Re: Best creative sampler vst

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but the two sample based things I've used constantly for years are El Destrukto for Reaktor in the User Library and Samplr for iPad. El Destrukto is more about chopping up samples than looping, but everything sounds great in it. Samplr can do looping to wh...

I'd like to g with RME but once you start looking at what's needed to achieve 32 I/O the price is too high for me to justify.
I agree with you there. That is a big consideration to make with RME. Higher channel counts can become expensive.

Re: current favorite eq plugins?

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing your experience and insight. I've been using Pro Q software which is great for working on a wide range of computers and CPU efficiency. While tracking hardware I sometimes use a BAX or Pultec. Are you running a single instance of Slick EQ M on the 2-bus or are yo...

Update for anyone who might be searching:

I have literally never owned a less reliable piece of gear than the Antelope Audio interface -- and I own Buchla.
This is why I can vouch for RME. They make a stable product that works for years.

Re: WMD Sequential Switch vs. SSR Labs Matrixarchate

SSM user here. Four channels is plenty especially when care is taken for setting up the patch. Eight sounds good in theory but I'm not sure I'd actually use it so I'd go for the more preferable interface.

Front panels just arrived. Have to figure a way to darken a bit the windows for the displays. Other than that, it looks pretty close to the original!

Re: miRack for iOS - now available

Besides using multitouch is it possible to move multiple modules at once? I just did a quick test, and yes you can move multiple modules at once. However you need to have a finger on each module you’re moving...it’s not like selecting a bunch with a rectangle then dragging them off to a different p...

Re: Ableton 10 and 2015 15” MacBook Pro latency issues?

Whether the temperature spikes stem from the hardware or issues with software that does not seem right.

What are you using to measure the spikes and how long do they lastDo they happen with only Ableton open? Do they happen with the system idling? What else is running on the system?

Re: Why do people subscribe to using a format that likely makes it more difficult for them to be creative?

Being creative can be difficult and that's a people thing not a material thing. I guess my quandary has to do when the material interferes with the human. Maybe this is because they aren't looking to be creative? The seed of creativity and intention is there but in practice they seek the material r...
