This is a good starting point:

Essentially you want frequencies that make your ears tickle. And if you want to use sub audio modulation, as suggested AM or FM it with a higher frequency

Does anyone own two of these?
I bought two at once, and they're great fun together.
I do see the need for a bunch of mults, VCAs and mixers to make it all gel... so maybe factor some cheap utilities in to your budget.

Re: Tips for fitting 2hp modules next to each other?

I've seen 3D printed extenders for 2HP controls, but the simplest solution I've seen is a plastic drinking straw cut and slipped over and held with heatshrink

Eurodesk-Z cable hangers.

Got the Eurorack version, very solid and a good capacity.
This thread reappeared at the right time, and this looks like the best option I've seen so far...

You can use VCF1 and/or VCF2 seperately, they're just different modes of the same filter

Elby.
Much like the reasons put forward for R*S above, it's all functional and well laid out.
I do like Erica otherwise, for all black... and NLC for all white.

Re: Stereo Feedbacks / Distortions (a la Dark Matter?)

I love my Erica Black Hole 2 DSP - a third of the effects are delays and half the effects (inc said delays) have feedback settings. The "hellraiser delay", "havoc chorus" and "ripper" can be pushed in to wild self-sustaining feedback - especially when using CV to modulate the parameters. I doubt you...

I had this last night, actually... if the power switch was anywhere other than right in front of me it would've been extra seconds of cooking for a dud module :deadbanana:

3.5mm mono to RCA cable, then RCA to BNC adapter taped on to it.
I use 'scopes a bit, exploring vector graphics, and don't see much value in hogging HP for connector conversions

I'll have to dig up the post, have seen a few good clips of Rings through an amp sim to be a pretty good imitation of "djent metal" guitar sound - that alone is enough for me to put it on the shopping lost...

Or, there's a DIY project that could work
Or bodge it, using security camera controllers (to zoom the image in to quadrants) - I've seen someone post about this previously- one day I'll explore the idea
