Sounds like your SD card is failing.
Thanks for the quick reply! Luckily I bought two of them so I'll try everything on the other card, see how that works out. Cheers.

Re: Expert Sleepers Disting Mk4

My Disting Mk4 appears to have developed a problem. I'm using it a lot as a sample player, in the Dual Audio Playback with Z Control algo. I've got the latest firmware installed. I filled it with a bunch of samples, they all worked fine for a couple of months. But recently one of the samples started...

The solution was indeed to turn off the A Trig and B Trig modes!

Thanks everyone for your help. This thing is bloody fantastic.

Nice one, thank you. I will try these trigger settings tonight. If that doesn't work I'll try to get a video.

If it does work I'll let you know as well, just in case future people have this problem and read the thread.

Good vibes all round.

I wondered if any Scales users could help me out here? I recently bought Scales, primarily as a sequencer, as it's small and seems easier to use than the previous sequencer I had. However in the sequencer mode I can't actually get the sequence to advance. I'm definitely in Sequence mode, and I can p...

Mine does the same occasionally. I have to shut off the case and power it back on to fix it. It only seems to do it if I have something plugged into external clock though that could also be coincidence. I have moved it from a case with a Doepfer PSU2 to one with a PSU3 and the same behavior still h...

I love it and use it in every patch. But it does freeze up every so often, and the only way round it that I've found is to switch the whole rack off and on again. Anyone found a way around this? That sounds suspiciously like a power issue. What's your power supply/module mix? I've seen a couple of ...

Re: Oscillator transposer?

Hello, I’m looking to build a bad ass drum machine. This said I only have one oscillator with three signal outs. I have plenty of envelopes and VCAs Is there something that transposes an oscillator signal down or up? Like something like a clock divider that I can plug in a single signal out from th...

In chronological order: 1. Jeff Wayne's 'War Of The Worlds '. Aged around 7. I was totally obsessed with it. I listened to it on repeat, it was the first music that really impacted me, and still has some bearing on everything I do today. 2. Queen - A Night At The Opera. Aged around 10-11. Made me wa...

Thanks guys. The 12 pieces are now available from my shiny new bandcamp page. Unfortunately I lost the original recording for the first piece from January, so I've replaced it with another piece recorded from around that time, which tbh fits better with the others in any case. [bandcamp width=100% ...

Thanks for all the replies, you've given me lots of food for thought. Please note, the forum shortened my thread title - it should have said "with an unoriginal title" but that part was cut off, making me look like an idiot. A few people mentioned attenuation for Clouds. It's weird, I've hardly real...

I have been making a lot of field recordings with my Tascam DR05 and using them with the sample playback functions on the Disting Mk4. Really enjoyable and adds another dimension to my rack. So same as you i would love a Morphagene but it has big price. The Phonogene is very cool and go for less th...

"I'm looking to spend around £600" is a bad way to approach the situation. I realize that the above statement is just a description of your financial limit at this time, but What function do you need? You seem drawn to Make Noise, but also have some powerful Mutable instruments modules. What about ...

Another "what to buy next" thread with an unorigin

I'm looking to spend around £600 on some new modules and can't decide what to go for. I wondered if I could get some suggestions? First of all, here's my current rack: https://cdn.modulargrid.net/img/racks/modulargrid_969843.jpg I also have a 0-Coast, Dreadbox Erebus, and a Koma Field Kit FX. These ...

This week I discovered that I can stop MI Marbles by plugging a dummy cable into the clock input.

I also found out that if I patch the headphone output from a cheap pocket radio into the "In" of MI Rings it becomes a one-way ticket to the Drone Zone.

I recently got some Ladik modules for my first rack. They all seem to work fine, apart from the R-210 Random CV. It outputs random CV as it should, but the built in quantizer just doesn't seem to work. The same notes are coming out regardless of what scale I select. Even on the more common major and...

Does anyone have any idea how slow the L-130 LFO will go? I can't find the info anywhere. I need something pretty slow. speed 0,1Hz to 10Hz – from 04/17 new internal jumper added for slowing speed down about 10 times: jumper removed = 0,1Hz to 10Hz, jumper set = 0,01Hz to 1Hz (slowest period about ...
