Re: Rene vs Pam's New Workout

Bear in mind that if you get Rene you'll need something to clock it with. It doesn't just play on it's own.

Re: Expert Sleepers Disting Mk4

I'd love a simple audio looper in Disting. Something that works pretty much like a loop pedal. There's a surprising lack of them in Eurorack, aside from the as-yet-unreleased 2hp Loop. There's more complex modules which do other stuff as well (Morphagene, various delays etc) but it would be nice to ...

Re: Doepfer finalising licensed Serge VCS

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but here we are... I've got two A-171-2's, which I'm currently using in my main system to temporarily replace Maths whilst that is being repaired. I've noticed that the EOC out is a very weak signal. It doesn't trigger Rene's X input as expected, nor does it effecti...

How does this one work when it comes to mixing audio? Is it mainly used for controling CV or does it work with audio as well?
I've only ever used it for audio, it works great.

Re: Make Noise pots - Feel scratchy?

Sorry to bump this thread but I have a similar problem with one channel of my Maths. Specifically the Fall knob on channel 4. It's even dodgy when I modulate it via CV, without even touching the knob. It make that horrible scratchy sound, and feels kind of unstable. A bit like my right hip. I got th...

Re: 4ms Pod with a lid?

There's an 84hp Roland Skiff with a lid. It's got a decent amount of power and depth too: https://www.roland.com/uk/products/syr- ... fications/

I love mine, it's really sturdy.

Re: [Guide] Monsoon (Clouds derivative) - In depth guide in the style of Mutable Instruments' guides

I've got Monsoon arriving in a few days to replace my OG Clouds so this is good timing! It all looks great. It will be really handy having all this in one place. Previously I had to consult a link on my phone every time I wanted to do something with the Parasites firmware. A couple of things I noti...

Re: Announcing ALM017 - Pamela's NEW Workout

Ok I seem to have found the solution. I just set the PPQN to 1 in Pam's. That allows me to do exactly what I was intending - using the t-section of Marbles to drive Pams. This means I can use the bias knob to increase/decrease the regularity by which Pam's moves forward.

Re: Announcing ALM017 - Pamela's NEW Workout

Thanks for all the replies. I was actually hoping to use t1 or 3 as the clock rather than t2. So that I could slow it down/reduce the regularity of steps forward (if that makes sense) using the bias knob on the t-section. It's something I've been able to do when clocking Rene, for example, but perha...

Re: Announcing ALM017 - Pamela's NEW Workout

Anyone had any luck clocking Pam's from the t-section of Marbles? I've tried various settings but can't seem to get it to work. I think it's maybe something to do with the Run input on Pam's, but not entirely sure. I know it makes more sense in theory to clock Marbles from Pam's, but there's some st...

Re: Bloom vs Varigate 4

Never used Bloom, but I had Varigate 4 for a while and sold it. It's ok for happy accidents, but for sequencing in an intentional way it's really difficult to use. I ended up with Intellijel Scales (which has a sequencer setting). For me that was a far better way of writing sequences, with a decent ...

Sounds like your SD card is failing.
Thanks for the quick reply! Luckily I bought two of them so I'll try everything on the other card, see how that works out. Cheers.

Re: Expert Sleepers Disting Mk4

My Disting Mk4 appears to have developed a problem. I'm using it a lot as a sample player, in the Dual Audio Playback with Z Control algo. I've got the latest firmware installed. I filled it with a bunch of samples, they all worked fine for a couple of months. But recently one of the samples started...

Nice one, thank you. I will try these trigger settings tonight. If that doesn't work I'll try to get a video.

If it does work I'll let you know as well, just in case future people have this problem and read the thread.

Good vibes all round.

I wondered if any Scales users could help me out here? I recently bought Scales, primarily as a sequencer, as it's small and seems easier to use than the previous sequencer I had. However in the sequencer mode I can't actually get the sequence to advance. I'm definitely in Sequence mode, and I can p...

Mine does the same occasionally. I have to shut off the case and power it back on to fix it. It only seems to do it if I have something plugged into external clock though that could also be coincidence. I have moved it from a case with a Doepfer PSU2 to one with a PSU3 and the same behavior still h...

I love it and use it in every patch. But it does freeze up every so often, and the only way round it that I've found is to switch the whole rack off and on again. Anyone found a way around this? That sounds suspiciously like a power issue. What's your power supply/module mix? I've seen a couple of ...
