Re: Eagle Files - VCO, Filters, Touch, and SeqSw

Thanks!
One more thing, how many usefull octaves with the BCM857/4? Should i go straight for the That3340 for a more acurate tuning?

Sorry for keeping coming back
So, if i change the 22k resistor from the scale pin to a 47k and the 50k to 100k and wire the pots between +/-5V like this i'll have (more or less) a 10 octaves range ?
Or should i wire the tune pot between +10V/0V?

Re: Updated SSI2130 VCO Datasheet available...

The EXPO FREQ pin is a ground-referenced current input, limited to the range 0 to 200 uA. No negative current. As to what that means depends on the voltage-to-current resistors and the current going into the SCALE pin. The example given in the datasheet is for 20uA/octave (49.9k resistors), which i...

Re: Updated SSI2130 VCO Datasheet available...

I'm considering powering the negative rail at a higher negative voltage (maybe -10v?) so i can have more than 10 octaves range (for LFO purposes). Has is on the datasheet, with -5/+5 power what octave would be 0V at the 1v/oct input? If it's C0 (give or take) that would mean i would only have a 5 oc...

Here's an eagle library I made based on the QFN layout - not particularly elegant but give it a try.
Not checked in detail yet - please give feedback if you use it.

Re: Updated SSI2130 VCO Datasheet available...

If an eagle footprint is available i'll be very happy! Drawing such a complex footprint makes me nervous... I’ve done one - just need to check it properly.... not had much time this week though... Cool, i'm looking forward for this :) thanks I was looking at the datasheet, how would one connect the...

Best tracking diy VCO?

Hello,

I'm searching for a new VCO to build, but i want it to track really well (5 or 6 octaves). No need for any fancy functions, just really good tracking.

Apart from all the CEM VCOs around, what would be my best option?
I'm also not looking for kits or pcbs, schematics only.

thanks!

CGS VC-Slew limiter question

Hi!

Can the lm3900 on this CGS VC-slew limiter be replaced by a regular opamp? Norton amplifiers are special little things that i'm not familiar with, that's why i'm asking
Thanks!

Also, I have ordered a bunch of panels from MetalPhoto Cincinnati instead of my usual route of getting black anodized/laser etched panels from China. I am happy to say I'm actually getting them a little cheaper from the US source and hoping the MetalPhoto process looks great! :tu: Sorry for the of ...

Tama ts-305 schematic question

Hi I'm considering putting the tama ts-305 on a breadboard, but i'm studding the schematic first. Looks simple, but i can't figure out what the CP1~5 points are. Are this measuring points? http://www.florian-anwander.de/tama_ts305/Basic.jpg full schematics are here: http://www.florian-anwander.de/ta...

Pretty clever. For such a low HP module it does pack a lot of functionalities. Anyone knows if this will available in DIY?

Both ADDAC 603 Triple Bandpass Filter and Addac 611 Tube filter comes to mind. Pick your poison, the 603 Triple Bandpass filter has a x100 gain switch for insane distortion and the 611 tube filter is also super gainy if you want it to  ...

Teensy GND and AGND

Hello! I'm drawing a Teensy board with the SGTL5000 audio codec to use it in the modular environment. I'm a bit confused with the Teensy Ground and Analog Ground pin. Should i use the Teensy Ground as a digital ground and only plug the SGTL5000 there, leaving the Analog Ground to my Analog parts?(op...

Smooth Self Oscillation Resoance ?

Hi! What techniques are available to keep resonance clipping/distortion in check? I'm building a simple filter, and i want to have self oscillating resonance. This is accomplished but the resonance clipps/distorts very easily. I'm amplifying the signal before sending it back to the opamp, and i'm aw...

It tracks for about 4 octaves pretty well, then it goes out of tune. Both Hoshuyama and the datasheet gave me the same results.
I wonder if it's because i'm using the Coolaudio version.

I think it's time to go back to the matched pairs

Due to my noobyness I didn't understand completely what you explained about the reversed current and the ~0V, sorry :bang:

do you mean that i should just replace the 13700 ota cell for the 2164, like this?
