Re: Is wavetable interpolation different from crossfading
Got ya. Its more the playback engine smoothing than the interpolation of discrete steps between wavetable steps.

Re: Is wavetable interpolation different from crossfading
So it's just smoothing the the transition at the end points, to prevent larger steps at them? Sorry, the maths is at the edge my skills!

Re: Is wavetable interpolation different from crossfading
Any idea on what the maths of that might look like? Do you mean several points are considered ahead of the averaging kind of thing?

Re: Is wavetable interpolation different from crossfading
Great stuff, thanks and yeah would be good to hear about the tech on those modules, I have the E370 and it definitely has steps between adjacent waves. Reason I ask; I have been having a go at writing a python script that takes all the sample values between of a single cycle wave and all of the samp...

Is wavetable interpolation different from crossfading
Hi All, I am puzzled by something, is the interpolation of a waveform from one point in a wavetable to another (assuming the two waves are adjacent) any different from a cross fade between those two waves (assuming they are in sync/generated by the same osc etc)? If so, how? I have imagined that the...

Re: Erica Sample Drum
Yo, anyone noticed an issue where when loading multiple samples into the drum, sometimes the sample number and the sample don't align? So you get to say sample 9 and then change the value to sample 10 but the sample stays the same, a bit further on the dial and then the sample changes but the number...

Re: New Erica Synths drum sequencer
You can send the 101 any clock you like but it doesn’t always seem to start right with lower res clocks or at least it hasn’t with the DS anyway.

Re: New Erica Synths drum sequencer
Yes, I always use a trigger to clock other stuff when I record. Plus it has that annoying bug that the 48pp setting is not saved so you have to set it up everytime you power up your case; so I just switched to triggers instead of using the clock out. Pamela can redistribute clocks as needed. [/quot...

Re: New Erica Synths drum sequencer
Anyone else noticed the DS clk output is erratic when in MID mode, even if the internal triggers are bang on and you have a good midi signal (Expert Sleepers ES5 etc)?

Re: rubicon2 dixie2+ clean sine?
What’s the spectra and waveform look like? There are trimmers that effect the sine shape. I have a rubi1 and dixi2+ and they have pretty clean sines but filter res osc is usually closer to a perfect sine.
Edit: sorry didn’t see the waves, I’ll have a look at home later

yo! Just got two of these and now I have 16 channel mixer with eqs and aux send for modular (mackie 1604) Boom! Anyway one question I have is, how rough can i be with the ribbon cables that joins the two boards together? I have unbalanced versions and I'd like em both flush with the right sides of m...

Hi, interested in one of these but I can’t see in the manual how pattern changes are handled and how if at all is the pattern reset? So say I have a 3step pattern on one track and a 16 step pattern on another, does the 3step pattern ever get reset or does it loop around forever, effectively independ...

I have the Korga2 but I would imagine it is the same here, take a look at the waveforms of a saw osc passed through this filter with some resonance, compared to a more traditional filter. You will see the resonance grows around the zero line (0v), rather than the extreme positive and negative values...

Just run a square in to a bit crusher. It would... still be a square. It's like trying to filter a pure sine wave and expecting it to change harmonically. Agreed, I thought a square wave would be basically a 1bit sound, extra bits shouldn’t change it. If the bit reduction happened after the Vcas th...

I move mine around quite a bit, but keep stuff in functional blocks as above. With the odd bits that don't fit anywhere where ever makes sense from usage pov. I try and keep modules that need a lot of adjustment on the bottom rows (nearer to me) and the set and forget stuff further away. I try to av...
