Re: How did you pick your sequencer?

Here's my Eurorack sequencer journey thus far: As I mostly don't use a DAW, I wanted to be able to do most everything in the rack, so I was looking for a full-featured flagship Eurorack-based sequencer. My initial essential criteria were: (a) at least four tracks, (b) some sort of "song mode", (c) t...

Re: Best light travel cases

The Intellijel cases are great for this. Their aluminum frames make for a very lightweight package. The 7U 84HP case is a good mid-sized option, and if you want to go smaller there’s the 4U 62HP Palette. Intellijel also sells plastic lids and gig bags, to better facilitate easy portage.

It appears that a new NerdSEQ expander has just graced the light of Modular grid: the 2HP TRS-A MIDI Expander.

Re: Interesting uses for attenuverters

Which reminds me, you can also use it with different gates at the inputs, to mix them together to generate pitch CV. Three "bits" of input give you 8 possible voltage levels out. it took me a minute to work out what you meant but that sounds interesting. it's tips like this that push me out of my s...

Re: Interesting uses for attenuverters

I’ll start with one, even if it’s a bit basic: I love my Tirana II sequencer, but I sometimes struggle to dial in the exact voltage I’m looking for, given the 5V range over the span of the knob. But if you run that CV output through an attenuator with offset, it gives you the ability to zoom in on t...

Basic Noob Question Re: Potentiometers

Hi all, I hope this question isn’t too basic for this thread. I’m one of those guys who can use a soldering iron to mechanically put things together and take them apart, but my understanding of the actual concepts of electronics are thin. I’m looking to build a Eurorack patch bay, and I thought I wo...

Re: Intellijel Tetrapad

For those of you who have used the Tetrapad with and without the Tête: how much do you feel the Tête improves the UI/usability of the Tetrapad, versus a standalone Tetrapad? Would you ever go back to a solitary Tetrapad? I have a Tête-Tetrapad combo, which I purchased together, but I’m not really us...

Re: XODES TP8 touch pads

This looks like a really fun module. Unfortunately, when ordering from your website, the high shipping cost to the USA is preventing me from completing an order (it almost doubles the cost). Is there a possibility that you will get a stateside distributor someday?

Re: Xaoc Tirana II micro sequencer

Hi Tirana users, are you still happy with your Tirana? I'm looking to add a simple CV sequencers that I can quickly adjust manually (in addition to my mimetic digitalis, which I use more for randomised cv). Is the Tirana the way to go or should I look elswhere? (Ladik has a simple 4 step CV, but do...

Re: DivKid Mutes

I have one; it's quite different but also cool. Customs must have been a little rough with mine, because I had to reseat an LED and another part, but Dedal patiently guided me through the fixes. Compared to the DivKid, it also does a whole lot more, with two random algorithms. Really cool style fro...

Re: DivKid Mutes

Since we’re suggesting alternatives, I recommend that you direct your eyes to the Paratek Пуск-3. It has only three channels for muting, with pushbuttons instead of switches, but each channel has two modes: “instant and latch”, so you can get the same functionality as you can with the switches (alth...

Re: Mutable instruments edges

Hi folks. I'm curious to hear from some experienced (or even diehard) Edges users. I'm considering hunting down one of these -- or one of the open-source "Threshold" versions -- to play around with, and it seems like a good companion to my NerdSEQ. I'm curious to hear about what modules you've found...

Following re: comparison to copier machine in ornaments & crime. I was curious what the range is for Shifty? Love the ASR in O_C but not the limited 3.3V range. Modulation signals often get truncated if not scaled and offset. Can anyone who has used both comment on this? I haven’t measured it mysel...

Re: Sequencer less than 30hp?

Damn, if he's willing to mod the sequencer to output 0-5, i'd totally grab a used one. It took a few months for my request to float to this top of his queue, but he totally delivered. I’m extremely grateful, as it allowed me to part with the WMD Volt that I had purchased to fill that role, which in...

Re: Sequencer less than 30hp?

I know that many will throw rocks on me cause having a super sequencer like Rene and searching for something "simpler" may be b's$@#t! I can relate perfectly. I love my ER-101/102, but I still yearned for something simpler and more immediate to accompany it, and perhaps be used to program the ER-10...

Re: Sequencer less than 30hp?

Or… you can hide four sequences of four steps each. Or… you can randomly offset the start point for at least sixteen different variations. This is also one of the killer features of the (also discontinued, alas) Koma Komplex. Yes, exactly. I had always been aware of the last application you mention...

Re: Sequencer less than 30hp?

And I’m surprised that no one has mentioned the ER-101 yet. That’s a great full-featured (albeit with a peculiarly love-it-or-hate-it workflow) four-track sequencer in 26hp. Granted, the reason why I love mine so much is the functionality brought on by its expander, the ER-102 (which costs an additi...
