Might be about the same on bottom row of a flat.
But really a kalimba has about a 10min fun span before it’s on a one way flight back to the junk draw...

Did I miss it or have we yet to see...?
I was just listening to some nels cline, And thinking hum I wonder if there’s a euro module that’s just a kalimba, So I joogled “eurorack kalimba module” for kicks and didn’t see anything So I was wondering if I missed it or has it yet be? Seems like a no brainer that it could be fun, with some loop...

Re: New Budget Eurorack suggestions
Skip the Hosa cables. And get something else. I bought some of them before and they crapped out fast. In comparison to something like modular addict cables which I bought 6 years ago and have yet to have a failure. My only other advice would be don’t go for a “cheap starter system” with the plan to ...

Re: First experience on USED market went as feared... Yours?
Very seldom had bad experiences only once in say 20k of gear. - once I got a older doepfer module with a finicky jack, It was as a friend & family purchase, The buyer offered full refund including cost of shipping Or whatever I thought was adequate. We resolved for the cost of a new jack. —- If you ...

I think with an Es1 or something like that.
I know this is kinda vague, and may not be helpful, but it may have the info to lead you to the YT search to find it

Re: What’s sound projection source you using?
Ideally will be using these as a projection source for shows, not like venues but maybe 50-75people in a parking garage, stairwell, or anywhere else you can plug in and be weird. On the fly. That is a very different demand about the speakers. Not at all what studio monitors are designed for. That'd...

Re: What’s sound projection source you using?
Whatever you do, be careful using guitar amps. The speaker cones are made of paper usually and can rip from loud bass frequencies or dc offset, lfo's etc. Many people have destroyed amps/cabs this way Yeah whenever using a guitar amp I’m either using a old piece of shit amp, low volume or someone e...

Re: What’s sound projection source you using?
Just a suggestion: You may want to change your thread-title to something like, "Best studio monitors for <$500?"). Possibly your right. But studio monitors aren’t only what I hope to get opinions on I did forget to mention Ideally will be using these as a projection source for shows, not like venue...

What’s sound projection source you using?
What speaker (monitors?) Or Amp Are you guys using these days? withIn say sub 400$ category. I’ve used a number of thing, from cheap PA, bass/guitar/synth amps to computer speakers. The best thing I’ve found to get the widest fullest spectrum has be some cheap 90’d JBL computer speakers. They are pl...

Re: Annoying videos
I get annoyed when just a single drone note gets played: what use is a sound if it doesnt inspire music? Also, sequenced demos with so much reverb and echo you get no sense of what is distinctive. I understand the idea I also think these are boring But inspiration is individual so I’m sure there ar...

Re: Any rule of thumb for used modules?
My experiences: Muffwiggler - almost impossible to sell even at 50% off, modules can just sit there for months, zero interest. I wonder if the issue isn't just that MF is forum style, so your listing just gets buried rather quickly. I mean you could list it in the morning and by the evening, it's l...

Re: Any rule of thumb for used modules?
For - msrp I’m referring to the price you see when you look at a store- generally this is what people are referencing to. Which in my experience the store will almost always give 10% off. you bargain with the store? it's totally unheard of for me, maybe it's an American thing. Anyways, price used t...

Re: will this work?
Something to keep in mind is that Supercell is a 34hp repackaged Clouds and it’s well known that Mutable Instruments is going to release a successor to Clouds (date unknown) that is almost definitely going to be 14hp. It could be worth waiting for that depending on how much of a rush you are in. Sh...

Re: Any rule of thumb for used modules?
One common rule of thumb I see - Say it’s listed at 20% off msrp but ignore the reality that its really only 10% off as nearly ever store will give you 10% off msrp Oh and then add PayPal buyer fees, and sometimes shipping so in another make believe reality the seller actually basically looses Not ...
