Re: What’s the difference between tuning and calibration?

In guitar talk.
Calibration- is like intonation: so open note and 12th fret are the same just octave up
Tuning like adjusting your notes you hear like on a guitar making your A that’s above middle C right on 440hz

So with the tip top OSC (z3k) when you see the number change that’s the tuning.

No ones gonna know anyway. If it’s out.
As long as they composition as whole sounds uniform.

Worry more about calibration that’s were your shit will start to sound bad.

Re: Cheap delay modules

Ah cool. I’ll give it a whirl. I’ve been using a EQD avalanche run but I despise that thing.. (not so much the pedal in general, but the specific unit I have) I can remember which boss pedal I was using that was pretty F’d after. Just an endless static to the out put. Unless the mix was all the way ...

how do you practice?

so I was just wondering how different people, have different approaches to practicing a modular synth. So lets say a system that is fairly basic SEQUENCER/ADSR(ENV)/FILTER/VCA/VCO - maybe a basic well rounded logic module, or S&H, nothing to fancy. just the midular equivalent of an acoustic instrume...

I have a general question about devices like these - what is the draw of such a module? Is is the physical slotting of the media? Re: any footswitchs for manual Gate/trigger?

I guess the module is putting out a steady CV and the foot switch is just turning it on/off. makes sense now that I think about it. No. That is handled by the footswitch itself. You can either connect a latching (first step=on, second=off) or a momentary footswitch (on as long as you keep your foot...
