I go to Print N Etch in Perth and have had panels made by them for the past few years. http://www.printnetch.com.au/ They seemed to be associated with these guys - http://www.pnepcbs.com.au/ who are in Melbourne, but I suspect Perth branch does signs & panels, Melbourne does PCBs. You could ask, I ...

Australian Euro Panel Manufacturers?

Hi all. This one is for the Australians on the list.

Can anyone recommend and/or has had experience with a workshop or company that can do short runs of custom Euro panels?

I'm trying to find someone local (Melbourne) but just as happy to go with anyone interstate.

Any info greatly appreciated.

[NTEREST CHECK] Dual FC>UK Roland 100M 140EG Panel

Hello Fellow Masochists Just wanted to put a call out to see who might be interested in a 8hp Dual 140-EG panel for the PCBs offered by the good folks at Frequency Central. This is been designed because I found a couple of the older boards and couldn't get my hands on any of the 4hp panels that were...

Re: LZX TVP Vs BSO VCA

TVP doesn't multiply, it sums. Both are useful for applying modulation to an image, but the TVP does give a little more range in terms of what it can do. Also, if you have a TVFKG, you can use those VCAs for now. Thanks. Seems I've assumed that more similar than they are... Damn, I might just have ...

LZX TVP Vs BSO VCA

I have the funds to purchase only one of these modules at the moment.

It seems to me that BSO VCA is a simple but very handy module.

On the other hand, the LZX TVP seems to offer more multiplication but will need extra work to get a VCA type thing going on.

Thoughts?

Excellent news Liz! Looking forward to putting an updated TVFKG in the rack. When you you say 'May', is that early or late? Well, your best estimate at least?

Yeah, if it wasn't a Grass Valley unit I don't think I'd be even thinking about it.

Just want something that gets me away from the old DVR frustration central.

Mustn't be too popular though. Pretty heavily discounted price here... Which is nice.

Grass Valley ADVCmini?

Hello All

Anyone had any experience with the Grass Valley ADVCmini?

Is it 'ok' or is it really just a toy? I'm not expecting brillance being only able to record to .MOV, but they do seem quite 'cheap'.

Thinking it might a good (and small) portable capture device?

Might be a bit too 'ambient soundscape/whatever' for the noise list, but what the heck. Hope you get something out of it.

I'd recommend getting the brown shoes only mixer and triple vca then get a second VWG or otherwise the triple fader key gen. The brown shoes modules are definitely on the radar, especially the mixer (and at that price point). Though now with this talk of the CSM, I imagine it and the brown shoes VC...
