Cable storage, cable tidying and coloured cables

Hello, I am based in the UK and wondering what people are using to keep their cables tidy and accessible? I have a plastic bag atm and it's clearly not the best solution. IIRC some people were posting things on the forum that held loads of cables in a vertical position beside their modular. Also, wh...

Euro-rack above keyboard, what's the best way of doing this?

I thought I would ask the lovely people of Muffs as I am sure that I am not the only one who has had this problem before. I have a NI Kontrol S61, it's on a x brace stand. Has to stay portable as the studio needs to fit spare mattress on the floor for when guests stay. I have a suitcase and a 3U doe...

That looks very interesting.

Could this could be hooked up to a Cirklon giving extra CV outs?

Oh man, no attack / release. I was seriously excited about this, until i read that.isn't it just an envelope? Still it looks interesting but not being able to adjust the time domain stuff or having fixed a/r points is something that gets me about a lot of compressors. Would a custom or limited editi...

For a job i recently worked on one of the editors took a large foam lined roadcase and put a bunch of speakers and a microphone inside. He also setup a fm transmitter and reciver torun signals through as well. The box had a definite resonant frequency, but that was fixed with a bit of eq. The mixer...

Hmm, think the crossfading might be a problem depending on how the crossfader is set. Effectively you are just mixing the cvs then subtracting one and fading ovee to the other one. Are there no quantiser modules that offer a slewed quantise to note or scale? Seems like a fairly simple and basic func...

Thanks guys for the replies.

Isn't there a way of having the final note destination quantised, some sort of cv mixing / slew type thing.

Random cv morphs to quantised single note.
Would that not just be a matter of crossfading then?

What euro module will let me do this? Question re quantisers

Hello, Its been a while. But am back in modular land, with a vengeance . And oh my theres many new toys!!!! I am trying to figure out how i can send cv into the modular then have it quantised to a pitch or scale. I'd like to be able to do this over a period of time. Example, sending a descending pit...

Sorry for being a bit of a dumbass, but can someone please explain the sequencer retrigger thing? So, the sequence starts playing, in time, then...

Anyone know what's going on here? Quite interesting

6.40 Onwards = he's explaining how he's got the 101 synced up - clock coming from ableton, into the ACME - http://www.matrixsynth.com/2011/05/snd-acme-4-advanced-clock-management.html Which then triggers the 808 which then seems to change the pattern the 1010 is playing. That's the bit that slightly...

Switching matrix for cv

Hello, does anyone know of a switching matrix for CV? I can find ones for audio installations, but none for CV If no to that question, does anyone know of a tech that could deal with modding an existing box to take CV, say, something like a SSL x-patch (or one of the bigger AV one's). Would be aweso...

Hi, its not the doepfer fuses, thanks checked and replaced those with the right ones. I think its the power supply, was quite hot afterwards, plus smelt like scalectrix/gunpowder so thats usually a sign they have blown( had computer psus go before). So what next? I have mailed doepfer to ask them. H...

Taking out the fuse on the wall socket ring. So, it's not showing any blinkenlights inside he ase anymore and the modules aren't making those alien calling noises they love to make. So i guess the power is borked. Checked with a new fuse, no good. What do i do now? Has anyone had this happen? What's...
