Been making some film music, would like some feedback :)

Would like some feedback on these 2 pieces I made. I think I could improve the mix probably, not too sure.

For transient shaping I use the shaak audio transient shaper. That's a good plugin. Has a nice overdrive to it too and can have different timing options for the attack and decay.

Another option would be to get a MFB Dominion x I have seen one for £350 would that be better as a basis to euro than a dark energy, seems better bang for the buck in terms of a standalone synth but I am not too sure on CV.

Haha Hi drip feed long time no see :hihi:. To be honest the reason I got rid of the DE in the first place was that my audio set up was shit and that I was just getting pew pew out of it and the leads etc were pretty meh with being one osc. I did think about the micro brute as a basis as that has a k...

Dark energy and small euro system

Hi, I don't know if people remember me but I was the guy who bought a modular without much money to fund it :hihi:. Anyway I now have some monies so I am thinking of getting a dark energy as a basis to my system then getting a happy ending kit or other case to hold some modules and expand from there...

If it isn't a silly question.. You mentioned that the music tech guy who does repairs said it was a power regulator problem. So couldn't you have let him replace the regulator? It's a cheap part, and is unlikely to be a lengthy job. i will check on Saturday he basically was saying he could not repa...

Motu 828 mk2 now a paper weight, any ideas?

Hey guys, I bought a motu 828 mk2 about 8 months ago, it has been fine beyond the led display not working. one time I plugged it in and there was no firewire been recognised. I sent it in to a music shop in Sheffield as they did repairs to see if they could find what the problem was. Initially I tho...

watch out before it breaks  depending on when it was made there is a few issues with them, you have probably seen me complain about it on facebook. they wanted £140 about $220 to replace an led as they can go quite easily, also watch out for the fireqire jacks as the ports can be quite ...

Seems kind of strange considering it sold well. Hopefully they will not put a ridiculously expensive aluminium back on the next synth that puts e price up high :despair:

It's a cool purchase. Some of these are even quite expensive. I have a friend I played some shows with who just really wails on this sort of thing. I'll post a vid of it later. He is incredible and it sure is a neat, unique tone. And historical and stuff. it turned up today snapped a string :despai...

I use Lfo tool too, for side chaining mainly as I don't have to fuck about setting up different key inputs for compressors, i dont use the same key for everything. I got to say steves support and plugins are awesome.
