Re: ES9 USB C socket dropping connection

I just recorded a single track for 24 minutes straight on a USB-C to USB 2.0 cable straight to a USB 2.0 port without it crashing in Live on ASIO with the latest driver you sent on the 1.1.2 firmware, so so far so good?

Re: ES9 USB C socket dropping connection

I'm on Windows 10.0.18363. Today trying to plug into a straight USB 2.0 slot to see if anything is any different.

Appreciate the help!

Re: ES9 USB C socket dropping connection

I can try and set the firmware back to the last version maybe and see how that does? Still having this happen as it is.

Any other ideas, os?

Re: ES9 USB C socket dropping connection

I reverted to 4.8.0 and still had the dropouts.

Any issue with maybe this being a USB3 USB-C port it's plugged into? This is also a Dell (Alienware) desktop with assumed Intel chipset for this. I imagine it isn't far from standard.

Windows users, which driver version are you on?
The latest one from your website, 4.82.0.35319.

Thanks!

Re: ES9 USB C socket dropping connection

So I've tried flipping the cable to no avail. It takes about probably 20 minutes for it to happen, on the 1.11 firmware. Everything is working fine, audio is passing (although it takes a few tries to get the ES manager to talk to the ES and several midi port back and forth switching), then after abo...

Re: ES9 USB C socket dropping connection

Interestingly I wasn't having this problem on my iMac, but I've moved to a PC setup on Windows 10 with a straight USB-C to USB-C connection and the ES-9 regularly just disconnects or locks (without reconnecting) after about 10-15 minutes. Going to try a USB-C to USB-A cable next and rotating as sugg...

Re: ES9 - Can't update firmware

May as well complain here-- on MacOS Catalina we can't use the firmware updater because it isn't signed. I'll go ahead and update from my Windows laptop for the time being.

Re: ES-9 Not sending CV

You are probably addressing the incorrect outputs in Ableton. Read Page 9 and 10 of the manual. "It is instructive to look at how the default channel routings are achieved. Starting with the USB audio block, its inputs 1-14 are set to the 14 hardware inputs, so the hardware inputs are routed direct...

I started my true descent down the rabbit hole with this, arrived this week. Already pairing nicely with my 0-Coast and MiniBrute 2-- the LFO comes in handy and the oscillators are easily routed over [and back!]. The sequencer has a lot of possibilities combined with the 0-Coast's functions. And I j...
