Re: 100k input resistance... isn't

This thread is a perfect example of why I will never sell or give one of my builds to anyone ever. Won't even post a schematic, pretty much goes for my arduino/python sketches too. don't you ever let them take it from you, Steve! they'll shred them apart and hound you like... a pack of hounds! :myg...

Re: Is it possible to damage a device by sending signal to input while device is off?

interesting question. i'm eager to know more about this as well. from a consumer point of view i've never thought about gear being damaged by being powered down. usually i leave cables sticking into pieces of equipment laying around, powered off, even while the signal is hot. for instance my effect ...

Re: Help understanding connections (BC-9 mixer)

these are my guesses: A1 through A3 looks like balanced mono channels B1 looks like a mono channel with a send + insert function. the send amount it seems can be controlled by the LEVEL knob and it can be sent to either MIC or MAIN. try going out through OUT into your pedal and back again into the I...

Re: 100k input resistance... isn't

are we suggesting that we get rid of input resistors and instead expose op amp buffer inputs directly to the outside world to achieve ∞ input impedance? and are we suggesting that instead of the output resistor outside the op amp feedback loop we put it inside to achieve 0 output impedance?

Re: Dear Audacity: please die. Horribly.

Are they obligated to fix this? Well, not legally, because yeah, free software. But if you're putting something out there for public use, you are in some sense making a claim that it's suitable for the purpose. And if people (many people, over many years) point out an issue that makes it less than ...

if your workstation is not able to run even audacity then it's probably time you get a decent computer.

how much money did you invest in your modules and how much did you invest in your workstation?

Re: I cant be the first who...

put a little superglue inside the hole and before it dries put a fitting screwdriver into it, hold it still until it dries. this should get a hold of the screw to unscrew it, removing the glue from your screwdriver afterwards.

Phenomenal texture. I feel bad for the piano, though.
but what a way to go.
i feel more bad for the pianos sitting inside lonely cold and dark basements, slowly rotting away..

i imagine hundred of thousands of pianos out there who desperately wants to be dragged!

how to view slow-changing signals on analog oscilloscope?

i have an analog HAMEG 203-5 20MHz oscilloscope and i want to look at slow moving signals (ADSRs, LFOs, etc.), but i'm not sure if it's possible with this scope? my method so far has been to take the TIME/DIV all the way up in the millis. then i can basically see a moving dot and if focusing not on ...

10pin or 16pin connectors for bus board?

sorry if this has been asked a gazillion times - i'm a little new to the eurorack format. i'm planning on building a bus board and to save space i was thinking of using only 10pin boxed headers, but my other half of the brain says use 16pins, so later i'm able to plug in modules using GATE and +5V. ...

Re: Schmitzbits 7555 ADSR not settling

also weird this does not get any mention on Schmitzbits or Yusynth. maybe the choice of transistors is what makes the difference? I don't think Schmitz necessarily tests and vets out his circuits necessarily. I've seen some of them that are pretty loosy-goosy with the descriptions and say stuff lik...
