Live can open any QuickTime compatible files. So you might have to convert.

If out use ableton you can open up a movie file there and then tap tempo to sync. Can’t think of any after effects to midi plugins off the top of my head.

I looked in the manual but perhaps I overlooked it. How does one connect this series together? I’m assuming usb to es-8, then adat from es-8 to es-3. Does the adat from the es-6 go back to the es-8?

The mvip is more of an external video prosessor. The vidiot is more of a video synth with keying and external processing. At this time the vidiot is the best and only standalone video synth. Errogenous tones has an module in the works that looks very promising.
