Re: Piston Honda MKIII dual morphing wavetable oscillator

Are these still being produced and if so any idea on another batch hitting the US? Sounds pretty great. I was going to go with the cursus iteritas, but this may be better for me. From IME's Facebook page on July 13th Dealers worldwide are now being restocked with Kermit and Bionic Lester modules. T...

ACL Multifunction Discrete VCO ACL Variable Sync VCO Happy Nerding had a (now discontinued) VCO with the locking tuning pot, the HM VCO Also, not really a lock but worth noting that on IME Piston Honda mk3 you can invert the coarse and fine tuning, reducing the risk of going dramatically out of tune

Simplest way to think about this is probably to look for chord modules

Instruo Harmonaig
WMD Arpitecht + Triad outputs chords as well

Yes, push the MOD button and change the mod destination to "Pst" or "Preset Step" (just before "Randomize"). There you can set the first preset and the last preset.
Thanks!

Does anyone know if there is a way to create "kit" presets like the ones that come stock with the module (presets 1, 5, 9, 13)?

I will never buy a module smaller than 6hp again, I swear.

Sounds really really good though, so I am afraid I have to keep it and be annoyed all the time.
Replacing the knobs with smaller ones helps a bit

Re: WMD Metron sequencer

I don’t see a good way to implement glide within Metron and Voltera. They could maybe layer in per-track slewing, or find some new place to slot in yet another special layer into the already-overloaded button UI with which to choose which steps get are slewed. The former would be incredibly limitin...

Re: WMD Metron sequencer

No glide built in, but WMD has a nice dual gated slew called Time Warp designed to integrate with Metron/Voltera that purpose. Thanks for the info! My recollection is there was discussion of possibly including that in a Voltera firmware update somewhere down the road. I might be wrong about that......

SSF BDS also very good and has a lot of additional functionality (e.g. the duck out jack, several inputs, etc.) and as a results takes almost double the space of Crater

oh, the Shakmat KG will provide a lot of good stuff

I keep re-watching all the series of video demos and try to repeat the same stuff Alex does.
Had a lot of fun with the one to implement "super microtiming" by expanding the tracks and multiplying the clock in - super easy to do with PNW too!

Re: WMD Metron sequencer

Popped in to say how much I’m loving it. My beats are better than ever! I’d been using a combo of algorithmic (Euclidean, Branches) and preset (Grids, Zularic) but with Metron plus Volteras and Axxent, I feel like I’m at a whole nother level. Sure, I need to program the beats, but now that seems ea...

Is it possible to use the precision adder alogo to extract mid/side from a stereo signal? My understanding is that its done from the sum & the difference of the signals, so my stupid brain seems to think it should work? The only thing I can focus on now is to provide the requested amounts of FX AIDs to the distributors, any other plans should be delayed.

would it be possible to get the Spread parameter (in the chord section) to be saved per step when using the sequencer? As in would it eventually be possible? Re: WMD Metron sequencer

I'm finding more and more use cases for Axxent as I go. Last one was to sequence the way the Hold / Reverse parameters on a 4ms DLD are turned on and off. As I mentioned in a comment earlier, if and when the gate length on Axxent could be adjusted to be shorter, you will get pretty much a no-frills ...

Re: ACL Sinfonion

I don't think there is any need to create a special voltage table in the ER-101, in the end Sinfonion will quantize to the nearest note anyway and octaves are just a shift in 1V in the voltage that is outputted. I would tune the VCOs to the module that has most restrictive voltage ranges (the ER-101...

Thought I'd figured it out and then I fall again into lost. I'm using the Sinfonion to tune. The VCO course knob varies depending if I'm tuning by the 101 or the Sinfonion. Like I said, I am tuning with the Sinfonion but the VCO frequency knob for C2 is further CW than it is when I tune with the 10...

By the way, your video on Vimeo doesn't load so I cannot see the exact setup you have
Since you mention a Voltera (assuming you're using it to pass pitch CV), why don't you set up the note to change only when you have a trigger?
