Re: HOW are YOU integrating equipment into your workflow???

I write stuff in the DAW that I keep, I make stuff on the modular I throw away. I generally have more fun "in the moment" on the modular. One day I'll get around to solving the ground loop that adds a high pitched bzzzzzz to my modular > pc interface (scarlett 2i4) which will bring the two worlds to...

Re: next best case

Not mine but I've just seen this on ebay MDLR for sale Interesting! Something I've realized with MDLR cases is they're shown without VAT on, so that's another 20% to add to the web prices, plus postage, so perhaps ebay is my best route. Seems there's a gap in the market really (between 7u intellige...

Re: next best case

I was in pretty much similar situations; I "needed" another case and Intellijel 7Us were out of stock. I purchased a second-hand (albeit brand new) MDLR 14U, 126 HP. It's definitely a different feeling, but it's fairly versatile (re: how you want to arrange your 1U rows, which format, if you want t...

A single MDLR one?
The performer case looks like it would fit the bill. 1420 euros, 126 HP. The hinge system looks kinda clunky - anyone with experience?

2 x unobtanium intelligel cases @ £559 each is significantly more affordable for me if anyone had stock - are there any other options?

Re: next best case

Looking for some advice - would like 2 x intelligel cases joined using their metalwork, 7u each, powered. Trouble is everywhere is out of stock. Is there anything out there which is similar? They don't have to be metal, hinged somehow might feel like a bonus as I do plan at some point to give playi...

Re: Master clock

I'm using a beatstep pro with the clock out connected to a "tip/ring" breakout with the tip going to clock in and the ring going to run on a PNW. Nice and immediate with the big play / pause/run buttons and master time encoder. Worked first time with no further configuration of the BSP/PNW. Although...

Re: Behringer Rhythm Sequencer

At US$ 149 even with limited cv control in the initial design I'd be tempted. Would be far better with a reset in added at the very least just to keep it synced with other modules.

Re: computer to CV for mac and linux?

yeah that was what I was wondering, haven't found anyone talking about ES on linux. Which seems a no brainer to me given that the latency one can get a on tweaked linux box is so much better. My mac sucks for this. My old linux computer music machine could get 0.5ms one-way. :-/ Theoretically it's ...

Re: How did you pick your sequencer?

I meant to buy a circadian rhythms (mentioned earlier in this thread) but yesterday I bought a beatstep pro on a whim. 0HP (but desk space). Honestly I had no idea, so easy to use, key changes that used to be a total pain are simple. For such a cheap thing it's far better than my varigate 4+ (which ...

Re: What are some cool drum modules?

I like the kick on the BIA very much - punchy and clean or gnarly and harsh. I bought the blck_noir and was disappointed with it for a while, but it's grown on me and with the effects update I really like it now. Squarp Rample is a fun thing to fill in any gaps with sample playback.

Re: Muffwiggler used section?

I've read about a used section and it taking 50 posts to be on. Is that 50 posts or comments? I just want a darn Ginko sampleslicer, why are they so hard to find? Go to the main page and scroll down to the marketplace. I wasn't aware you need post count to see it (?) - I think you need 100 posts to...

Re: Squarp Rample

I am about to order one of these to playback long, multiple-minute 16-bit/44.1 kHz stereo commercial samples (e.g., ocean waves, thunderstorms, etc.). How do you know what and where your tracks are? If there are no human-readable filenames, how do you know what's what? How are they identified in th...

They're very cheap and if you haven't got one you'll find use for it - for instance making your own kits to throw on the rample.

Wait . . . both Radio Music and Rample are mono also, right?
The Rample can play stereo files but it does this by using two mono channels, so you can have two stereo files playing across the four outputs.

Re: Squarp Rample

The files on my SD card aren't fragmented. They are corrupt. EDIT: Sorry, should have mentioned - the files that are corrupt on my rample's sd are the original files. These wont have moved when copying new data to the card. Just to draw a line under this I contacted Squarp, they recommended a forma...

Basimilus Iteritas Alter from Noise Engineering would be a good one to check out. I use it for all sorts of different sounds and especially love it for kicks. Some may say it's harsh, which it certainly can be, but it has a soft and warm side too with lots of sweet spots to be found all over the te...

Re: Squarp Rample

I'm curious those of you experiencing issues with sample playback, have you added additional samples to the card? Or done any manipulating of the files on the SD at all?
