Re: matching transistors - DIY

I think this is the switch, ordered a few and will report back:

Re: Korg Arp 2600 Eurorack compatibility

Oh yeah, checked out his site. Like drinking from a firehose. :-)

My problem is in the keyboard controller, instead of taking 0-15V input it generates 5V and sends it to the input pin. So not good.

Re: Korg Arp 2600 Eurorack compatibility

The original ARP 2600 manual states that the trigger voltage is +15V, and I would not feed that to an eurorack module voluntarily. I'm face down in a 3604-P trying to fix a missing trigger output. It should be close to +15V -- pressing a key discharges a capacitor through a resistor and a diode to ...

Add Sam Ecoff's "Fundamentals of Music Technology" to your collection. It's a very thorough look at the Arp 2600.
I have a copy of it, it's a great book, but I can't republish things with an active copyright. Maybe I'll add a bibliography with links to other sites.

Re: Request: ARP 2600 Owner's Manual.

You might rather look to correct the errors of fact and errors of omission on your documents. [...] But then one reads at the end of the document that it is better to replace all transistors than to do a proper testing. WTF?! This is simply ludricrous and unconscionable for a vintage synth of this ...

Re: A good PSU for the Moog 60HP case

I'm prototyping a multiple-60HP rack and ran in to some, well, interesting problems providing enough "boot power" to get five Moogs to turn on at the same time. The short of it is if you're going to use Eurorack IDC rails you're going to need a lot more power at turn-on than during operation. I ende...

Re: Request: ARP 2600 Owner's Manual.

We're managing some reference ARP2600 docs on github. There's a full technical manual that was recently scanned by a nice person over on the facebook, I'm looking for other quality scans to post to the site.

Re: [AVAILABLE] TTSH V4 Build Thread

Got my kit a couple of weeks ago and will read this thread before I start the build. My blocker is that I'm actually restoring a 1971 ARP 2600 for a friend of mine's art studio. As soon as it's done I can start on the TTSH, will be fun to put them side-by-side in his studio.

Re: matching transistors - DIY

Is there a parts list/BOM for Ian Fritz's board available on OSHPark? I just order a batch of 3 and will probably have two to pass on. I found this switch https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Mountain-Switch/108-1MD1T6B1M2QE-EVX/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMvudeGI7i40XCnz47JvH4ug0EsixlwcUaE%3D in an earlier post, ...
