Plain No Frills CV Keyboard

I have noted a few threads on electro-music about building custom CV keyboards. The threads are a combo of "hey here's a schematic" to "you're mad in doing this" I love th elook of these fatar keybeds: https://i.ibb.co/3zQzL25/fatar.jpg Does something simple exist with the just a keybed + Outputs (P...

Trying a different ribbon with Doepfer A-198 module

Hi Wigglers, With my doepfer ribbon in postage/order limbo...i was wondering what other options i may have... I've emailed the guy doing the Scot Stites apenddage PCB group buy here - to no avail yet. But ...ive also thought of something else... The Spectrasymbol soft pot below: https://www.spectras...

Re: Modular synth for synthwave/darkwave

Synthwave is all about nostalgia. You want 80s era synths. Buy a bunch of Behringer. I'e. Jupiter clone. And
Yamaha dx7 are your friends. Modular is unnecessary for this unless U want it experimental.

What are ”rolling” basslines and leads? Is that a specific thing that I’m not aware of?
the galloping triplet style bass patch typical of psytrance. When you think psytrance - thats the rolling bass :)

Re: Appendage Ribbon controler for euro

how hard is this project? i've built a DIY phono preamp involving 3 pcbs - chained together, and a few guitar pedals. The build document looks really clear and good - but would you recommend avoiding this - if i'm not very experienced? I had a Doepfer trautonium ribbon on order - but it was missed i...

I will! Just ordered a doepfer case yesterday actually! Could I ask - what you're using for microtuning? (and if you like it) There are a few options - but i dislike a lot of them :P

Re: Amp/Cab Sims, Direct Recording (Niall Goes Gearslutz)

depending on how "pro studio" you want the solution - what i've used in the past are the Palmer rack cab sims: https://miro.medium.com/max/320/0*lvrHkJbEKNDS4lWv.jpg They are analogue hardware (which for me is important when recording tube amps) - basically jacks - with a big dummy load with an EQ a...

Re: Mixing console from modules - possible?

Interesting bit of trivia-- at one time all mixing consoles were modular. Fader modules, routing modules, eq modules, etc were mix and match, so if you wanted, say a Neve in 24 tracks, you could have it your way. The really big boys still have that construction but prosumer and many digital boards ...

(Pm or separate thread? Not sure if it's derailing) I'm working on my first case at ...it's very muc...
