Re: shelves instead of keyboards on kybd stand?
I’ve got a Jaspers stand and have a couple of Ikea shelves. However, Jaspers also do shelves and other accessories for their stands if you wanted proper OEM stuff.

Re: Shelves for Jaspers Stands and Other Questions
Thanks for the shelving tips - 6-tier 150B now incoming :-) I will probably try a few of these on one tier for smaller gear (303/606/FX/Elektron Cycles) once it arrives https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/hjaelpa-shoe-shelf-white-20450025/ Or https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/komplement-shoe-shelf-dark-grey-00...

Re: Shelves for Jaspers Stands and Other Questions
Meant to add, I also got a piece of clear acrylic custom made to fit and looked great. Needs to be 12mm plus thickness to avoid too much sagging so it ends up quite heavy. The Ikea stuff is perfect and really cheap.

Re: Shelves for Jaspers Stands and Other Questions
music store.de has much cheaper international shipping - at least to Australia For those using IKEA shelves on top of their Jaspers 150 stands, can I ask which specific shelves you use? At times I’ve used various things: - A linnmon desktop on the bottom tier - Komplement Shoe Shelves from the fitt...

Re: Shelves for Jaspers Stands and Other Questions
I’m sure it can handle it I just wouldn’t want to do it too often - then again, I have/had some heavy synths on mine.

Re: Shelves for Jaspers Stands and Other Questions
Hi - if I was putting 50-60kg of synths on the stand I wouldn’t want to be moving it too often. If only takes one loose connector to lose a tube.... In terms of customising...I made some bigger ones (added a side to a larger stand), made a small arp 2600 stand, some smaller stands and a A-Frame/Squa...

Re: Shelves for Jaspers Stands and Other Questions
I’ve had a few Jaspers stands - about 4 including the one you mention! I’ve ended up using pipe cutters and customising most! In terms of shelves, ikea shelves and their shoe shelves from the wardrobe add ons work quite well!

Sorry to hear that - especially as I recommended it! I don’t have one but it’s on my shopping list mainly because of the price: I’d love a Mixwizard but the FX16 is half the price!

Re: Simple Standalone Sequencer
Have a SQ1 (great esp for the price) and Pyramid (equally great but prob overkill) but I really love my Kilpatrick Carbon for simple easy to use sequencing. It’s easy to get going but it can do more when you need it to and has 4 x CV gate to allow 'filter sequencing’ etc. On offer @ $489 if you are ...

Re: Which Mixer to get?
I think the FX16II looks decent for the money. Yes, it’s a single board (or multiples of 8) for the channels as opposed to individual channels on the A&H MixWizard but it’s half the price. 16 mono channels with direct outs (selectable pre or post) plus dedicated stereo returns, 100mm faders, decent...

Re: Desktop Synth stands in the UK
Has anyone had experience putting a Rhodes piano on a Jaspers keystand? I have the 4 tier 150cm XL version with double bracing on bottom tier. Im assuming itd be fine, but..... anyways thanks How much does it weigh? The stats are that it can take 40kg (or 45?). However, it depends how the weight is...

Re: Thomann prices to the UK no longer include VAT
Tip - register yourself as self-employed for your music-making and then go for voluntary VAT registration. You'll incur a small amount of administrative hassle but will pay no VAT on your music purchases ever again. 😁 is it that easy in the UK? in ireland you need to have a minimum of vat charged o...

Re: Thomann prices to the UK no longer include VAT
Speaking as a UK resident and consumer, aren’t the Thomann prices VAT free (on their website) as VAT is levied at the receiving end? No, before 1st January the prices quoted included VAT at 20%. As of 1st January prices quoted do not include this. I know...I thought my answer explained why? As in f...

Speaking as a UK resident and consumer, aren’t the Thomann prices VAT free (on their website) as VAT is levied at the receiving end? UK is 20% but it’s easier for Thomann to show the VAT free price as they don’t need to update it if the UK changes the rate for example - it’s not Thomann’s problem. W...
