Re: What are the Best Sounding Analog Filters?

I’m happy with my two filters, the Ripples, as it has a build in vca, and I also like the sound of my Erica fusion. This one has three inputs and mix out and a filter out. Patching the mix out to the second or third input allows me to add more growl to the sound as I create a feedback loop. Then the...

Disting z-knob push, doesn't browse through parameters.

I'm having trouble getting the z-knob to do what it's supposed to to according to tha manual. I'm in the E1 AR envelope mode. I have the X and the A in and out patched, and I want to browse through the parameters, Pushing the z-knob triggers the envelope, it doesn't browse through the list as it sho...

Re: What sparked your entry into eurorack?

For me it was through Sonicstate channel on YouTube. At the time I owned a Moog Slim Phatty and a Minitaur and a DSI rev2 desktop. I wasn’t very happy with the slim, so I sold it and was on the lookout for a new third synth, as I wanted a 3 instrument system, so I could twist 3 set of knobs live. Ni...

Best quad VCA

Helle fellow patchers. I‘M looking for a good quality VCA. I am looking at MI, Intellijel and Doepfer quads. I want a fairly clean result, not too much colouring of the sound. I’d like your thoughts and experiences on the matter. Do you ever use the pots? Or would the 8 slim version from doepfer wit...

Re: Disting Feature Requests. 2 dreams for the future

I know there's been a lot of time and effort put into other releases from ES lately. When the time arrives for a disting mkV, Id love to see a lager module, maybe 8 hp, with 4 in 4 out, making room for even more complex things. Also, and I've been writing with O via twitter about this. I don't think...

Re: Cheap delay modules

It's based on Erebus circuitry by Dreadbox, I'm not sure what technology is under the hood. The sound is awesome, though.

Re: Cheap delay modules

I'm rly happy with my Dreadbox Nostalgia. On your 200 budget, you can even throw in a doepfer stereo mixer. The nostalgia has three outs, a 1/3, a 2/3 and a master out. Routing these to different inputs in the stereo mixer, and paning them... that is awesome... totals less than 200 euro... The delay...

Re: Power from one case to another

Ty for input... It just bugs me that there is so much unused power, especially when the power module is a bit costly. I would rather spend the money on more rack modules. @andybizzare, can you elaborate on what to connect where and what spare part I'd need to copy your idea? Anything I need to know ...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

Hmmmm. Well... good question. I guess in some cases, releasing a new version of a piece that's no longer on the marked is OK... Releasing a copy of a product on the marked is not.... Behringer could release a ton of their own making instead of just cloning. They did the deep mind, that was an OK rel...

Power from one case to another

I have a two row raw Doepfer case, the Doepfer A-100 LC6 Case 6HE PSU3. It's full.... However I only use 700 of the allowed 2000 mA power consumption. So... I was thinking on ways to draw more power out of the case into another unpowered case. Does anyone here have any experience with that, either p...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

Interesting point of view... I'm not saying I disagree... i actually ponder it a lot. I'm tempted to buy some of the Moog remodel stuff. Can't decide what to do. Price tag is not the issue. I don't mind owning half the gear costing double the price, if I want the gear. My modular case is a fair mix ...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

How about the vocoder, then? A remake/ copycat of the Roland, while they had their own boutique out? I know it was a digital in an analogue-feel box. But still. Did Behringer politely ask Roland if it was OK the clone their engineering? They are pirates IMHO.

Re: Behringer System 55

Obviously there is nothing Behringer cannot damage when they put their destructive minds to it for short-term profits. Genuine question. What has been damaged, and how? Meh, I don't have the numbers, but releasing a a 2600 clone while Korg - the owner of the brand- has a more expensive version on t...

Re: G5 Tuner acting up on the disting mk4

I'm not entirely sure what the waveform is... it's coming out of MI tides. I used to be able to tune the tides, as I recall. I've tried switching cables, so it's not that. When I plug in my roland SE-02 the display jumps a lot until I play a note. Then, all is well. As soon as I release the note (wi...
