Actually, at the very end of the video they mention that none of the sounds were done on the hardware, it was all from said vst.

Re: Stuffing the Dotcom 163 EuroRack Adapter?
You guys are screwed. In two months, you're going to have 6U Euro cases to "supplement" your 5U monsters and be kicking yourselves for not going with 9U. You'll complain about 1/8" cables and 12v power for awhile, but Euro will break you. This module frame is a mere gateway drug. Eh, modular...

Re: Stuffing the Dotcom 163 EuroRack Adapter?
I don’t think this will solve the problem that some of you are having, but FYI, Bastl Instruments has quite a few modules that are 5hp wide. Three that i love are Skis (dual decay envelope with VCAs), Cinnamon (filter), and Grandpa (granular sampler). Their Popcorn sequencer is also really fun, but...

Re: 4MS SCM (Shuffling Clock Multiplier) in MU Interest?
Fascinating convo about leds. I haven't thought about it too deeply, but I could definitely see certain colors being an issue for some. As for myself, I like a little splash of color since most of my leds are red. I really enjoy the yellow/amber leds from my STG switch. It's a refreshing change and ...

That filter sounds great. And I must say, I love that tap tempo LFO! I want one! I'm terrible with electronics, no experience whatsoever. Really need to get on learning that, so many missed opportunities.

Hi Flareless! I've been wanting to add the symple sidecar to racks on modular grid but the image is very very large when I add it. It fits in the 1 MU spot on the grid but the image is at full size and simply cropped. End result is a picture of like 5 very large jacks lol. If it was real I'd figure ...

Re: 4MS SCM (Shuffling Clock Multiplier) in MU Interest?
Leaving out the rotate option on a shuffling clock divider seems like a strange choice. Normal clock divisions is absolutely the most common way to use one but being able to rotate the divisions would be super useful for generative patches, and is kinda the selling point for me. Definitely would be ...

Re: Stuffing the Dotcom 163 EuroRack Adapter?
I have been debating this myself, was leaning towards stuff like maths, clouds, randomizers, external output modules, or maybe a smattering of different filters. One thing I noticed in the dotcom Facebook group was their example of a filled rack had 36 hp of modules: I asked about it and they mentio...

Greetings fellow travelers. I'm fairly new to the modular game. This is Wilson. Wilson is just a baby right now. I'm hoping he'll get to grow a little larger in the future. Wilson has been my companion to fight loneliness and boredom on this desert island we call the Covid Shutdown. I've been tryin...

I've also been considering a more dirty/gnarly/characterful filter. My main thoughts have been the STG Sea Devils and the acVoks. I'd been leaning Sea Devils but I go back and forth

20200709_085531.jpg So many cool filters here! Thanks to all who described them or their opinions of them. I only have the Q107A in 5U, but also have the Moog MF-101 low pass and an Electrix Filter Factory. I used to have others like the Waldorf 2-Pole (desktop) and Akai MFC42 (rackmount). I've con...

Re: Symple Sidecar Expansion Module from LWSS
Like the ones on the sequencer? No. Gate-Trig is different than Gate on-off. I was mostly going off of my (admittedly not great) memory. I didn't recall what the switches were for, I merely recall there being switches. They are reset/on/off. I would prefer that (if there were to be switches) it wou...

He ventures beyond the accepted concept of odd & even harmonics into a new territory of mellow and bright! clearly this is a perceptive model he invented on his own without perceptive model research. while it is likely not completely without merit, he is using his subjective perception of the quali...

Wouldn't it be possible to add PCB hdr for selecting LIN/EXP? Could then choose whether LEDs or shape were more important. Just a thought, the module is already really good. No, it's not possible. I will need to redesigning the PCB and also try to find space in the front panel :hmm: :hmm: . When I ...

Hi Rex, man that is rough! I also wish healthcare was universal because nobody should be forced to just "deal with it". And I agree about mandatory, at the very least yearly checkups. I dont like the idea of someone missing important health info because they deal well with pain or whatever. Hope eve...

Re: Your surprised-you-module(s)
The dotcom comparator. I chose it over something like a lwss serge/cgs comparator module because it had an ac coupler/mixer, vca, and lfo and I figured I could always use more of those and would give the main function a shot. But the actual comparator function is super useful! I didn't think I'd use...

What about Rich's adaptation of the CGS60 to better interface the audio from/to your three Moogerfoogers? https://richsstudioproject.wpcomstaging.com/product/cgs60-stomp-box-adapter/ That's a pretty levelheaded idea ;) Honestly I haven't had a problem with the foogers: definitely hotter than line l...

Re: Moving into 5U advice and questions
As mentioned, the STG mixer breaks up nicely. Also check out the Corsynth, C103 V2. It's a frequency multiplier/divider and distortion circuit. Like a lot of folks here, I started out with Dotcom and branched out from there. There's nothing wrong with Roger's designs. They offer a great sounding, w...

What do the L/R outputs do in delay mode? Are they just copies of the signal, or is one dry and one wet, or do we just use the standard L/Mono mentality?

Re: The DotCom Q960 sequencer "package" .. some questions.
The Gate Math module would be a fun addition: pass the 960 output oscillator into the Gate Math, use the Thru input if you just want "normal" sequencing, or use the gate math outs to have subsequences trigger or bursts or what have you.

Re: Q156 Comparator
I got my comparator on Sunday. Pretty cool module! Having an LFO and VCA clinched the decision for me. The mixer is pretty useful as well. So, currently I have been using the comparator to detect the end of an envelope: pass the inverted envelope into the (+) input and leave the (-) alone. You might...
