Re: Modern keepers!

Euro wasn't for me - it's awesome - but not for me I got in and out quick. To me, it's a hobby rather than an art, unless you have the money and time to basically live it, in which it attains the possibility of becoming an art. There's a great Richard Devine piece called Strum ... ffs  look at...

Never said anything regarding that. Does he come across as trustworthy? Not really. Is his video legit? I'm sure he spent his every waking moment scouring the internet for samples of the two instruments... so, possibly.

The physical key functions are quite strange, it was a hassle to program at first but you get swift. However, I'm going to sell it.

Re: Why can't I record a guitar tone for shit?

Some amps like the Katana Artist MKII have direct outs now, or you can record from something like a Kemper, or use software sims. I used to have this problem too.

You will never get the real sound you want without recording amps with a microphone, it's the time tested method.

Re: Korg Arp 2600 Arrival Date

Went ahead and canceled my order. Musician's Friend said that they have 0 incoming as far as they know, and that they have no idea how many they'll possibly get nor who's where on the backorder list and blah, blah... And lastly, they could put in a special order to Korg, as though that'll get anythi...

Re: Korg Wavestate

It’s a bit more than an on/off switch- there’s velocity and release velocity. But yeah, for most people this isn’t an instrument you get for playing synth solos.... Sorry I forgot about velocity when I was writing that due to pondering the Korg ARP Ody keybed. So it's half an on-off switch, my bad.

Re: Korg Wavestate

The keybed reminds me of the ARP Ody I tried which was awful, but, since there's no aftertouch it's just an on/off switch and functions fine for me. Not really going to be shredding on this thing. Made my first track after about an hour with it, not the best but I can't help but love shaka / orchest...

Re: Korg Arp 2600 Arrival Date

I get that people want to use sequencers, and yes, Korg pandered a bit to the market by putting a sequencer and an arpeggiator in the reproduction... but you literally DO NOT get to demand or expect these aspects in a recreation of a vintage synthesizer, and you CERTAINLY do not get to decry a fait...

What didn't you like about it? I fell in love when I heard that orchestral patch and just ordered one for $675 after canceling my Pro 3 (which would be harder to resell than a Wavestate at $600). I guess it just isn't my thing. It sounds fantastic and a lot of the presets are really good. I just di...

Re: Behringer Go eurorack case

Power supplies aren't cheap, though. A power supply + brick + bus board is already 200 or more on their own. That is why you need a company like Behringer to come in and show the world how cheap power supplies really are to make.. and to make and sell them cheaply.. lol You would think they could g...

Re: Korg Arp 2600 Arrival Date

Midi is not just about DAWs triggering parts. I never mentioned DAWs. My mistake, I took the 'robot' as in your comment " having a robot play a saxophone " to mean a computer program. I tend to think in a live performance setup. The Octatrack and Deluge are just computer programs I guess. I’m wrong...

We are talking about two different things here: The reproduction of the classic 2600 and about the possibilities with the additional MIDI implementation as a “modern” bonus (to me a data protocol from 1983 is not something smoking modern, I’m prepared to consider 37 years old synthstuff as “vintage...
