another +1 for intellijel mixup:
- 2 mono ins
- 2 stereo ins (one is unity)
- mutes!
- finger-accessible (no jacks sitting next to pots)
- chainable

... I’m not sure if this answers your question Consumed, but I was orginally under the impression that the purpose of the accent knob was to control the CV input. yes it does, thanks for that detailed info :guinness: i had assumed the same. i wonder (in the case of the bd909) whether this feature o...

BD909 Accent Explained: ... 2. It makes the ACCENT knob act as a fine control of the output gain level. This is very useful in situations where the level knob range is too coarse for setting precise levels in a mix with other drum sounds. i saw this in the manual and yet still failed to imagine how...

tiptop bd909: accent in POT behavior

i have a dummy (unconnected) plug in the ACCENT IN jack. the ACCENT IN pot is fully CW. BD OUT sounds correct and great. as i rotate the ACCENT IN POT CCW, the volume of the BD output gradually drops to a tiny click. is this normal behavior? similar behavior occurs even when the jack is unpopulated....

supply rails drop when adding modules

i've wired up a power one 1A supply calibrated to +/-12v. i measure the correct voltages at the output, but as i add modules one by one, the supply voltages drop about a quarter volt for each module. does this indicate bad caps in the supply, or something else?

That looks very very similar construction to the cases i was talking about. The only awkward bit is that the sides, and back, are all one single bit of steel - which makes drilling the back awkward (but entirely possible!) but the front can be removed and replaced with an engraved (etc) replacement...

that4301 vs that4301p?

i noticed older 4301 ICs look (and are stamped) differently than the currently available 4301p. anyone know if there are any functional differences between those parts, or that the "p" wont work properly in circuits originally designed for the earlier 4301?

another thing i'm wondering- what knobs would go good with this thing? interested to know others choices also. i went for mouser 506-KB700B1/4 on my builds -- they are a little pricey but solid and stand tall enough so that i cant bump into the tune pot. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/5...

since C1 and C2 are timing caps (not in the audio path), we should be good to use 1% c0g/np0 ceramics there as well, correct?
