I've stopped all outgoing orders. The damages on the panels and boxes comes from the shipping from the supplier to the logistics center. Trying to solve everything as fast as possible. But there will most likely be some delays. Can not stress how terribly sorry I am for this! I guarantee that everyo...

Thanks! I'll be making the 10h roundtrip to see what's going on. And if it's bad I won't have any other option than to stop the shipping. But I really hope it doesn't come down to that. I thank you all for your patience and understanding! I'm sorry about this and I will do everything I can to make s...

So the real run will be panel AND a set of PCBs, you just won't be able to buy the panel WITHOUT the PCBs.
Exactly.

I've got 3 PCB kits left.

Just found 9 kits in the cupboard in the kitchen. But with no panel! (Edit - 8 left) It's all 6 boards, main board, touch strip and the 4 pot boards. They're electronically exactly like they will be in the real run. The only difference will be cosmetic changes - Now the boards are shiny, then they w...

waggles The second will be larger than the first. But it's a gamble, since I don't want to be stuck with extra boards once Korg releases a 2600 of their own.

ddegraaf Yes, builders feedback will have influence. Though I need it before the 1st of April!

It should pop up.

The revisions was about the Mouser parts list, if there's something missing or parts needed to be substituted. So no changes to the boards! If not 86% of the people building says it would be good to move a resistor 2mm to the left that is.

The DC-DC converter should be short circuit protected. So there should be no risk of damaging the circuit / converter with using it while building.

Though I do recommend using a bench supply with proper current limiting options and such, if you have one available!

I saw on the website that the next round is expected to be at the beginning of June. Should we expect any revisions to the board or BOM? i.e. does it make sense to go ahead and start collecting parts from the current BOM? Thanks, Ben Dont' get any parts before the kits are available is my first tip...

The over all cost isn't that high. The biggest cost, except the panels + PCBs, is the pots. 64 pots at Banzai Music cost €96. The component cost is, including the jacks, switch and stuff, about €50.

Then it's either own box, Bud or Hammond, and that's about €20 more.

TBH it looks like he's using square Bi/TT pots already....will be interesting to see what the options are. I'm using Bourns 51 pots for my TKB. But that's not possible for a bulk run. But any pot with a 6,35mm shaft and 7mm bushing will do, as long as the body is <13mm. So the 16mm Alpha is no good...

Is it possible for the original poster to update the first post as to what we need to buy to build the synth? I'm referring specifically to be things on the bom that are not covered by the mouser bom, thonk, speakers, dc/dc power and reverb tank. I believe it includes ferrite beads, on/off switch, ...

Oh, and if anyone could find a reversed version of this - http://se.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=151-2P16-Evirtualkey11180000virtualkey151-2P16-E With a flat cable inserted into this, the first line on the cable is pin 16 (counting the normal way on an IC).
