Re: Brexit and the future of Oakley Sound

One area I wonder on is whether effective prices will change or not - I mean, I won't have to charge VAT on sales to EU countries, so that's a saving for buyers, but then they'll probably/possibly be charged import - so maybe little difference unless, as you note, brokerage fees are added! In Finla...

Installing old Native Instruments products.

Hi, have anyone used NI's Native Access to install old versions of their applications lately? I haven't installed any NI applications in ages and I don't have any of them in my current computer. I thought to maybe install something as I have licenses for Komplete 6 and some other products. I checked...

Re: Novation Summit - keyboard version of Peak

Is it possible to key sync individual oscillator and let other two run free? According to the manual the actual key sync parameter is common for all oscillators. I was thinking if maybe the v-sync can be used to key sync individual oscillators? I guess what I' m asking is if the master oscillators t...

Re: Synth selling scams in Amazon?

I still get freaked out people buy music equipment or even search for it on Amazon. I know you can and people have been doing it but it doesn't seem smart to me. My friend that plays noise music bought a pedal off Amazon and I couldn't believe that was a thing. Why wouldn't you buy from the music g...

Re: New poly synth/synth company - ASM Hydrasynth

How is the output voltage of the pitch cv output defined in poly modes? Does it correspond to the first key that is pressed and does it output that voltage until the key is released or does it change every time new key is pressed even if the previous key is not released? Tried to look from the cv se...

Re: Synth selling scams in Amazon?

I would not recommend buying a synth from a third-party seller on Amazon, period. If they're a known store, just buy direct. You're probably okay if it's something Amazon is selling themselves, but still all else being equal I'd look elsewhere. Too much chance for something to go wrong, from the oc...

Re: Synth selling scams in Amazon?

It's probably not counterfeit, more imaginary. The seller account has probably been hacked. That's a really common scam on Amazon, and generally involves listing expensive consumer electronics at suspiciously good prices. Don't touch it. https://krebsonsecurity.com/2017/04/how-cybercrooks-put-the-b...

Synth selling scams in Amazon?

I saw one synthesizer I've been considering to buy listed as new in Amazon for about 1/3 of the regular prize. The price seems too good to be true for a legit listing. I think other kind of products listed with so low price are often counterfeits, but I've never heard of counterfeit polysynths. Any ...

Of course not that's a silly thought. But all the suffering the synth industry have caused to succulents is not something to be taken lightly.

Re: Para / Poly synth to compliment Euro set up...OB6, Pro 3, P12 experience?

Have you checked out ASM Hydrasynth? A lot of sound sculpting possibilities and judging by the YT demos and reviews is very capable at producing edgier sounds. I have no personal experience with it, but seems like an interesting synth. Also two cv inputs and four outputs for interaction with eurorac...

Re: Would you pay a yearly sub to join a gear lending library?

Most of the big retailers allow returns. So there’s that. You could in effect use them like a library. Yes, it's done. And it's A DISGUSTING PRACTICE! <--intentional shouting :tu: This is just fraud. I didn't get the impression that the OP is using retailers as "libraries" without the intention to ...

Re: Would you pay a yearly sub to join a gear lending library?

There's a local bike shop here that has a great try before buy arrangement in my mind. You pay 500 € deposit, they send you a bike, which you can ride for couple of days before sending it back. If you decide to buy the model they send you a new one and the deposit is reduced from the price. If you ...

Re: Are Powered Cases Too Expensive?

At first glance eurorack cases and power do seem like they are expensive but my theory is Behringers own cases prove they are not. Are the Behringer cases half the price of than the competition? No they are cheaper but not by a large margin. Behringers own chinese factory, economies of scale, globa...

Re: Instruo Lion Matrix Mixer

I'm not overly concerned about the inputs not being buffered--that can even work for pitch cv, depending on what you're doing. It's similar to the Hordijk mini matrix, but Jason always has his own take on designs. Did you notice that patching toward the leftmost column (alpha channel) attenuates th...
