Re: Gyraf 1176 transformer
I imagine you could simplify your transformer selection process if you don't need to run on both 120VAC and 240VAC. Ok. Actually I'm based in EU and 230VAC is what I need. So "dual primary" refers to a dual power option (sorry for the nOOb question)? Being so, the requirement I need to check is Sec...

Gyraf 1176 transformer
Hi guys, I would like to build the well known Gyraf 1176 compressor so i'm looking for the right components at the moment. I've collected almost everything but transformers. In particular I'm trying to figure out the better option for the psu transformer. On Gyraf's page is simply stated "POWER SUPP...

ECC86 would be a good candidate for an overdrive. I have spare PCBs available for a euro based version of the valvecaster overdrive (ECC81/82/83), if is anyone interested. Panels also if there is demand for a small batch. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/12284_p1050084_1.jpg https://www.m...

Great! Thanks a lot!Haralds:Werk wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 2:02 pmYes, that's correct. The 1N4004 are fore protecting from false polarity from the PSU. You can leave them out if not needed. You can leave the ferite out as well. Just replace them with wires.

Re: Scaled voltage reference with octave and semitone steps
Hi there, I'm trying to build this module but I'm confused about how to wire switches. Could you please give me some advices? Scaled_Volt_Ref_back.JPG Ok thanks. So the “M” on the board indicates the middle pin and then pin 1 to 5 are ccw to center. The black wire associated to pin 6 is the “0” pos...

Re: Scaled voltage reference with octave and semitone steps
This module provides high precision CV outputs in 1V (octaves) and 83,3mV (halves) steps. The 1V output goes from -5 to +5V. The 83,3mV steps goes from -5 to plus 5 steps (halves). This module is thought for all who are missing octave switches in some modules. Especially in VCO. With this module yo...

Re: Eagle Files - VCO, Filters, Touch, and SeqSw
Hi all. I’m trying to populate the 258’s 0.1 board. I’ve found almost all resistor values but I can’t find value for resistors called IP1 and IP2 (close to power socket). May be have they to be omitted and wired over (like r25, r34, r72 and r79)?

Re: Eagle Files - VCO, Filters, Touch, and SeqSw
Thanks Alan, but I have to admit that I don’t know what a ALT resistor is. Could you be so kind to explain what kind of resistor is?

Re: Eagle Files - VCO, Filters, Touch, and SeqSw
Hi guys, I'm about to start this Buchla VCO project using the 0.1 brd layout. Suddenly I've realized that I miss the Tempco resistor required in R55. Could you please tell me which one you have chosen or you can recommend for this build?

SH-2 VCF DIY
Hi all, I've listened to a demo of the G-Storm Electro SH-2 Filter in Euro format. It seems to be an adaptation of the Roland SH-2/SH-09 filter. I really love its sound but the module is a bit overpriced for my pockets. Does someone knows about a similar project in DIY format?

Re: Behringer System 55
I bought 2 x 921 VC osc but they both have the same issue: the 0 in the Frequency pot is not settled on C. Root C is about -2. I've tried to use trimmers on the back but the only working position where scaling through octaves is in tune is the original. Does anybody else experience the same problem?

Re: Hearn Morley VCO Buffers??
I just put together and tested a PCB for the Hearn Morley VCO. Unfortunately the only output that sounds decent is the Saw. The triangle is barley audible and that's after I turn the level way up. The square is ok but out put is low, not as low as the triangle but still low. Plus the lowest frequen...

VCO Build Help Needed
Hi all, I received an Hearn Morley HMVCO1 chip from a friend and I would like to build an Eurorack module with it. As I didn't find any commercial PCB based on this chip I was thinking to stripboard it staring from the schematics suggested by the producer. As you can see from the attached image it's...
