I had the 1u version and it feels a little funny. Made the switch to Mordax and never looked back

Re: What's Your pick for a standalone, sub $300.00 usd, used or new, synth

300 is a rather low price, I’ve found it hard justifying anything under the price point. For around 600 you can consider an Elektron Analog4 or a Digitone. That’s when you really start to see your money being worth the investment

Re: What do I need to switch between CV (modulation) sources going to a single CV input?

ALM boss bow two or the first iteration, boss bow tie Both offer 8 to 1 or 1 to 8 cv control. Clockable and trigger programmed. They’re really cool It’s the only module that has bidirectional jacks so you can get really creative. Set 8 different modulations to one destination and let the boss bow ch...

Cwejman hands down

Great on filter cutoffs and even better on the vca for volume control. They’re a pleasure to work with

I think it just sounds better. There’s nothing better that a pure fat analog sine wave spa verbos complex oscillator

Took some matte black spray paint to some 1U modules and a PNW. Worked out alright, kinda has that Peter Parker going symbiote kind of vibe haha

Cwejman vca-4mx is a staple, I highly recommend it to anyone. 4 channel vca/mixer for both audio and CV with incredible headroom. The way it handles volume attenuation with CV is a thing of beauty. One of my modules for sure

Some of my fav modules here : ER 101, MMF 6 AND MMF1-S...nice choices! Do you have a soundcloud? Interested hearing it :) I’ve been shuffling my case around a lot for the last month so I haven’t been able to sit down and flesh out any recent recordings haha but now that it’s filled i definitely pla...

So you’re saying you wouldn’t pay 90% retail price for a used three sisters? Given how rare they are to find let alone at that low of a price?

I’ve never seen used mannequins at <80% either. Tough customer good luck haha

As of today, quite happy with my 7U
I have an fx palette case with an erbe verb, fx aid xl and a 4ms DLD that isn’t pictured but I’ll be honest, I hardly ever use it. I’ve been enjoying the fox on the 301 for what they are haha

Re: The Disting Effect and new features for digital modules

I love this thread A lot of people become so demanding with their modules functions. I see it all the time with stuff like PNW. People that don’t know how programming works are asking for nearly impossible requests and then get angry that their visions of the product isn’t up to their expectation. T...

Re: mannequins mangrove availability?

Thanks, but that's pretty steep if MSRP is €284 (also according to MG). I know modules hold their value well but I'm put off if it's >80% of retail for a second hand module. Ok, but you’re not entitled to 20% off retail—that’s you, not them . So you have to be patient and wait for new or wait for s...

I miss my IME stuff. I had a Stillson Hammer mk2, a Piston mk2 and a Bionic Lester mk3 that i had to get rid of.

I loved the low end on the Piston. That thing was massive.

Mordax Data has the most useful tuner. Ableton’s tuner has a hard time registering. I’ve tried a couple other options but nothing beats the Data

I love RME hardware

I have an RME UFX, gives me a total of 12 inputs right off the bat. Has adat I/O, 2 sets of MIDI I/O, amazing converters and rock solid drivers. I’ve never looked elsewhere. Super happy with mine, never had any kind of hiccups whatsoever, I highly recommend getting one

Re: sequencer for "purposively" composing melodies

I’m loving the 101. I’ve had it for about a month now, definitely took me a second to grasp how to operate it. My sequences have become a lot more coherent and deliberate after working with it. Once you get the hang of it, laying out ideas becomes easier and easier. Melody has always been a weak poi...

Anyone have opinions on Modcan’s dual delay? Don’t hear enough about this module and it’s impossible to find It was worth the hype at its time, it was the first "real interesting" delay in eurorack IIRC, ....well, beside the AS RS290. But its imho no longer worth the hype and has been outdatet anyw...

Got this from perfect circuit. Cost about 55 dollars, pretty well spent I think. It’s well made and heavy, so it sits nicely atop a straight mic stand

I’ve owned a mimeophon and I have to say, it was not difficult to go deep in at all. It’s super easy to use and the layout makes it easy to navigate and change sounds on the fly. I highly recommended picking one up if you’re on the fence. It’s a great module that you won’t have any difficulties dial...

I’m a big fan of the type of sounds you can design on a verbos complex. Thick, hairy noizey sounds can be found with the right exploration. And it sounds great And the overdrive circuit on the Morgasmatron is killer! Based off the ProCo Rat, it just screams. One of the few filters I truly miss haha ...
