Re: Behringer System 55

It seems that Moog made a 1631 ring modulator module for Emerson—both the Moog Forum and AMSynth blog have an entry about it. I wonder if Behringer will release a second wave of modules like the ring mod, sample and hold, 904C filter coupler, and, perhaps even, the Bode frequency shifter—ha! From w...

Re: Behringer System 55

Ok, I think I’m done (for a while at least) with the system 55 rack, I might replace the filter bank for the Antumbra counterpart to open space for a MATHS, it has produced amazing sounds already, I might upload a few samples for people to hear, exciting times

Re: Behringer System 55

Nevertheless I must say the 960 is a game changer, never had so much fun with a module out of the box, I'm using a row for pitch right in to a ES disting MK4 for quantization, another for opening up the filter and other for the VCA to get some accents in my sequence. Nice to watch the new wave disc...

Re: Behringer System 55

Hey guys, just got the 960, and I realized the potential and how much fun you can have right away, any of You guys now what is the best way to set it as a slave of another clock and still output the v trig of each note? Thanks!! Send a 4ppqn clock to the 'shift' input. Cool, already did, now how ca...

Where did you get the 960? Are you in the EU? I've got one on order from Sweetwater. Their last ETA was October.
Thomann is shipping them to the US faster than Sweetwater

Re: Behringer System 55

Hi, If you are building up a System 55 or IIIP using the B55 modules you might notice some missing modules; the 993, 904C and 928. At AMSynths I am making these for my Klaus Schulze IIIP replica, and the test panel for the 993 Envelope Controller is attached. If there is enough interest, I can make...

Re: Behringer System 55

Yes. Add a single NPN transistor and resistor . From recent posts here the largest issue will be removing the jack, cutting a couple traces and re-installing the jack. Any good tech could easily perform a mod for you. With some DIY under your belt, it's likely you could too. But there's an excellen...

Re: Behringer System 55

The 961 interface is consuming a lot of space just to convert V-trig to S-trig, any ideas on the feasibility to mod the 911s to receive V-trig instead?

It would be great if there was some way to do these types of adaptations without opening the door to cloning but that doesn't seem possible.
That's the whole purpose of open source.

Re: Behringer System 55

Ok. You can't blame me for not trying it with the 921B. Tuned and scaled them again and again to the best of my abilities, put a brave face on it, blamed it on myself (you did want authentic, didn't you, well here it is) but I cannot work with the drifting tones. Right now all of them start sharp (...

Re: Behringer System 55

Has anyone here tried the AION modular 921ABB? I understand it is the same company behind Club of the Knobs. Are there any sonic differences behind oscillators? correct me if I'm wrong here but all it does is to generate a waveform, and if both are accurate should (in theory) sound the same, right?

Re: Behringer System 55

I had the 921 ABBBB but I sended them back ,bexcause the scaling and tuning was always out. I spend many hours to get them in tune but it doesn't work. for me the 921 VC is the better choice. the scaling , tuning and the sync function is much better. I have talked to Behringer and they suggested to...

Re: Behringer System 55

I wonder if it would be useful to make some brackets similar to the mantis to connect two behringer Eurorack cases, anyone interested? I'm going to stack two Go's vertically. Sandwich them between poorly finished pine 'console size' cheeks. ;) I wish the Go case didn't have that inflection between ...

Re: Behringer System 55

Just opened a ticket with Behringer regarding frequency drifting, I will post what I find out. I would also like to share my findings on the calibration of a 921B for anyone who might be interested in the future: Calibration facts of a Behringer 921B: - There are 4 potentiometers/trimmers behind the...

Re: Behringer System 55

I’ve spent one day and a half learning to calibrate the 921Bs I gotta say it isn’t an easy task, the biggest problem is the instability of the frequency through time, I just adjusted my scale and kept a constant voltage of -2V on the 921AB LINK FREQ input and the frequency went up 3 Hz in a matter o...

They don't have the 921B in stock state side yet AFAIK. But I have two 921's that are solid.
Did you calibrate them?

Re: Behringer System 55

Ok, I found the instructions to calibrate the 921B and while I was following the procedure I found certain problems setting the HI adj trimmer to return 20.48 KHz @ +5VDC it seems impossible to lower it to that value, has anyone here experienced something similar? Here’s the calibration procedure in...

921b scaling
correction #2
after an hour of warm up the scaling was out .
I have 8 x 921 B and no one doesn't track 1v / Oct.
I made the scaling procedure from the model D, now they track over 3 octaves .
Any chance you can share the procedure ?

Re: Behringer System 55

I had 8x 921B and 2x 921A. but the scaling and the tuning was unstable .(with 2 hours warm up) sended them back. for the vid I use 10x 921 VC ( two more 921VC's are on the way) the sync is much better with the 921VC 's the CP 35 is ok ,the 995 is a passive module. I am getting similar results with ...
