Re: Which delay module? Rainmaker - Sputnik - 4ms
I have and love a rainmaker. I'll just offer that viewing it as a traditional delay misses the point. Yes, you can use it for 1/8th sync'c delays or whatever but it's sooo much more powerful than that. I tend to use it for crazy mangling duties and let VST plugs handle normal delay duties. This is ...

Re: What to buy first!?
if doing ambient and using daw, consider that this music is mostly about FX processing. You could use any sound source (esp. Kontakt libraries) and make it spacious and evolving over time. I would consider sending any DAW audio into delay/granular FXs animated by very slow LFOs as a start. Randomly ...

Re: Do any of these guys believe in god? (Cwejman after his passing)
I really fail to see why anyone cares. I have a titanium spork I’d be willing to sell for 10,000 euro. If you don’t want to buy it that’s ok too. I care because it continues to keep the overall prices high. I wish Eurorack would be cheaper someday, with increasing sales volume. I do music that way ...

was also disgusted when seeing this, especially with the "RIP Wova !" at the end of the offer description. the irony. Some are boycotting Behringer because they make gear affordable for most of us. Probably the same kind of person who also sells a MMF for 7k dollars. Is this person now checking whic...

Re: CV to Ableton options
Sure, thanks.
I would have a last question for you please, as you use the Silent Way plugins. Do I understand that this suite offers a CV to DAW plugin ?
If yes, can you route for example 4 inputs on an ES-6/8/9 to one single track in your DAW with their plugin ?

Re: CV to Ableton options
Would you know guys if a Befaco CV Thing can carry a 4 notes polyphony into a single channel ?
ie: Sinfonion into CV thing, MIDI to audio interface, soft synth receiving a 4 note MIDI chord.

CV to Ableton options
Hello, I would like to ask what is the best option to send CV/gate from the modular to Ableton (not the other way around using CV Tools). Objective is to control Ableton soft synths with Vector or the Eloquencer. Not sure if CV tools can do it. I thought about a CV to MIDI module going into the MIDI...

Re: Behringer BCR32, BCR 2000 Replacement
the design of the BCR2000 always kept me away from buying it.
For that price and design I will try it to control soft synths, or mix channels in DAW.

I have RM on the CSl and Brenso but no dedicated module. at the moment i am mostly looking into new filtering and delays options.
how do you like the Rainmaker ? isnt it too complex to achieve quickly good sounding results ?

Re: Eurorack Techno Production Questions
Use a lot of filters. Synths sounds shouldnt interefere with the bassline below 150-200 Hz
Sidechain your synths against the hats.
As you mentioned, levels are highly important: between -6 and -12 dB.
btw, mixing and mastering (outside the rack) will always help and shouldnt be done in the rack TMO.

Re: Less gear - better focus?
Dividing your workflow in multiple, sequential steps helps a lot to stay disciplined. A lack of productivity often happens when too many steps interfere (mixing although you should be only writing, starting too many drafts, etc). Precise goals and limited tasks help to move forward, but it is not ne...

A new 133 BPM track with a focus on harmonic filtering with the WMD Overseer, which adds a nice trippy texture.
Also reduced a little bit distortion to make things quieter accordingly.

New track just uploaded today on YT, incl. patch description on screen as usual.
135 BPM, kind of dark but not any particularly focused on that. Just missing those club moments right now.
Hope you like it

Had a flickering screen issue on first boot, as i turned the brightness to 0% (it is very bright out of the box). By turning it to a value right above 0, it never happened again. I had the Assimil8or first, and I can't be happier now with this BitBox. I am okay to browse menus to load samples, but I...

Sitting while building something, where my sequencers and envelopes are.
Then standing to reach the drums and effects, when it starts to sound nice.
