Front Panel Design wants a .plt file. I have attached one that I made using a logo file from Tony and converted with a raster to vector utility. In FPD create a custom "user" object and specify the attached file. Because it is a vector graphic it will scale from small to big and render great at any ...

I used knobs from Mammoth Electronics on my project. The knobs that you want will fit a .25 inch (6mm) ROUND shaft (they will work ok on a split shaft too) with a side set screw attachment. They come in two sizes: 27mm & 20mm The 27mm knobs are used on most of the Oakley 5U modules: http://www.mammo...

synthcube,

Those Mouser URLs are not working. Mouser's site returns the following error:

The access number entered was not found.

It still does not work even if you login to the Mouser website.

YMMV...

oldenjon, i can say with personal experience that the 1nf cap specified in my list works fine. I built 3 VCOs using that cap. They calibrate fine and track well (after I figured out how to calibrate them properly).

good luck with your project!

VCO Octave range

Over what octave range can the standard Oakley 2U VCO be expected to stay in tune when properly calibrated?

Ring Mod Issue 3 "LK" Link

On the Ring Mod I3 PCB there is a link labeled "LK" right next to the 8 way connector to the 1/4 inch jacks. I can find no mention of it in the builders guide. Am I just missing it? Should it be jumped?

Thanks!

THAT VCA question

Greetings, Can a THAT 2181 VCA be substituted for a 2180? I have looked at the data sheets. Aside from the fact that the 2180 is described as being "pre trimmed" and the 2181 is described as being "trimmable" i can find very little difference between them. It's to close to call with my limited knowl...

Greetings, As this is my 1st build I just have a few questions. I need to make a power cable to go between the compact power supply and the Croglin. I have the same 4 way connection on the croglin as on the C-PSU. What housings do I need to buy (part numbers would be really useful) Also do I need to...

thanks nerdware, The fans are very small (40mm). and they only run when the heat sinks reach 100 degF (38 degC). and when they run you can barley hear them with the module face down and your ears 2 feet from them. it all proved to be over-kill due to the thermal headroom built into the power supply ...

The new guy makes his first post

Good evening Wigglers. I am new to these parts and thought that I would introduce myself and share a bit. Like most of you I have undertaken the construction of a modular. Something that I have wanted for a long time. I finally have the time and money to make it so. After a great deal of research I ...

John, that is a beautiful piece of work!

A couple of questions:

How deep is your case (front-to-back)?

Where did you get the 3mm AU "L" section?

I am looking forward to seeing more of this project as it progresses. Please keep us updated.

Dennis
