Re: The Disting Effect and new features for digital modules

I think it is easy to forget, that there are many widely different ways of using a eurorack system. And this means we end up having widely different opinions on how modules should be. For example, my system is basicly one very dense fixed patch in a portable case. When I assign a Disting to be, say,...

Nonsense clutter or not, I would buy any black panel I could find for the following:
  • ZVEX Lo-Fi Junky
  • ZVEX Fuzz Factory
  • Joranalogue Generate 3
  • Intellijel Planar 2
  • Dave Jones O'Tool Plus
  • FoH Plague Bearer
True. Sometimes we have to take what we can get. :guinness:

Audio Parasites: Kinda looks like somebody went nuts with some design software. A lot of nonsense clutter “just because I can!”. Thanks, but no thanks.

Re: Endorphin.es Running order ; two track trigger sequencer

their 6HP modules line is so ***** great on paper and like the others this one looks very interesting ! but I had a very bad experiences with Milky Way and Squawk Dirty. The first was so noisy and sounded like a broken module, and the second was also super noisy ... a big digital hiss ... I sent th...

Re: Erogenous Tones - STRUCTURE

I got myself the cheapest possible dongle that appears as a webcam to my mac. Quality is surprisingly good for something this cheap. No drivers required, Catalina compatible, just hit ‘record’ in quicktime, or get OBS for a little more flexibility. This is the one I got: https://www.amazon.com/YOTO...

Re: Erogenous Tones - STRUCTURE

I am blown away by the possibilities of Structure, but I basicly don’t know a thing about video synthesis or video signals in general. I am considering getting Structure as an add-on to my modular (audio) system. Reading some of the latest posts here, seem to suggest, that recording the output of St...

Re: Mixer AND multitrack audio interface?

Only worry: I will be over-taxing my power supply a bit. ES-9 is one hungry module. 😮 good luck with that - probably time for a new psu and/or case then!!! The solution might be an additional psu. I actually have an endorphin.es 2hp power module that I was going to sell, but that might come in hand...

Re: Mixer AND multitrack audio interface?

Just an update: Meanwhile I have gotten a Faderfox EC4 for controlling FH-2 stuff, and then I realised the other day, that there is a FW update coming, that gives you midi CC control over volume and pan for the 14 inputs on ES-9. So I just ordered an ES-9, which will become my only mixer in my euro ...

Re: Disting EX/FH-2 share MIDI breakout?

Just a tip:
Although not officially the “right thing to do”, one can actually feed a midi signal to multiple destinations. Currently, my FH-2 feeds two Distings and a Bitbox from one midi out.

My concern would then be, how much hassle will it be to go from standalone mixing to a recording-into-computer situation?
As soon as you connect a computer the ES-9 will switch to your saved routings for computer operation.
Oh, that sounds brilliant!

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

dunno if it would help you, but i went with an ES-9 and a Befaco ST Mix. that way i can run 12 ins as either mono or stereo, then 4 stereo ins from hardware synths into the ST Mix into the final 2 inputs. that way one could monitor 10 stereo ins, or when recording 12 separate tracks, then choose 1 ...

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

Ah, so the 14 analog inputs is the max?
But even so, it seems like an interesting solution, since ES-9 also has sort of become a mixer.

Re: Marbles Alternative

And I would've thought a soft "H" but fair enough. I may be wrong, but I say Hermod with an h like her and hermit. In their tutorial videos, Squarp pronounce it like AIR-mod. But I believe they're French, so they probably would pronounce English words like her and hermit the same way. Exactly. And ...

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

I have just made my mind up, that for the ultimate no-brainer recording of my modular setup, I would like to have some kind of multitracking with minimum 18 channels. Option A is to get a Zoom LiveTrak L-20, a mixer with 20 track recording. Option B would be some audio interface for my MacBook. But ...

Filter slope of Erica Black Dual VCF?

Would anybody happen to know what the exact filter slope is on the Erica Black Dual VCF.
For some reason they don’t seem to give out that bit of info. Or maybe I am blind, dunno.

Re: Marbles Alternative

I just want to share how I use marbles: My main sequencer is Hermod, and I always have a polyphonic track there, that is the harmonic backbone. It runs basic chords for a polyphonic module, but it also has an arpeggiator out, that is usually set to random and very fast. This arp cv feeds the cv inpu...

For a small system, I would never consider using hp for mults. Except if it was e.g. a tiny case with one specific purpose.

FH-2 internal routing?

I want to have a euclidean generator to trig an envelope (both in FH-2), and I feel, that there should be a way to route this internally, but I can not seem to find it. What am I overlooking? (I hope not the solution would be to take the out of the euclidean and route it to an input, and then trig t...
