Ambient / Guitar Feedback System - 96HP
https://cdn.modulargrid.net/img/racks/modulargrid_1469984.jpg modulargrid_1469984.jpg I only have 22+2 or 14+10 to add. Is there something essential I'm missing for four-channel feedback, saturation ambient bliss. Is the ochd the right modulation source for this type of thing? Thanks for the input!...

Awesome! Yeah, right now we're just buying stuff and planning in preparation for students to return on some comprehensive scale in the fall. I will definitely keep you in the loop.
And thanks for all of these data points on trauma therapy - fantastic.

I'm almost ready to buy the Fold 6 from Joranalogue - I think it sounds pretty ace.

Re: Modular patching is good for your brain (and your skin)
Someone should do a brain wave study on this (and then also we can use those brainwaves to power that soundmachines module that converts brain waves to cv).... But really, the patching zone is AMAZING. I'm a trauma therapist for a living so I think a lot about nervous system regulation, information...

Re: headphone out
Dreadbox Typhon! Super small, runs on usb, IS AN ANALOG SYNTH, but has an 3.5 line in jack and can turn the whole machine into a multi effects STEREO processor, plus there is the handy-dandiest 1/8 headphone jack out for DAWless play. It's made setting up simple versatile and fun. AND ITS AN ANALOG ...

Re: Cwejman MMF-6 vs. MMF-2 vs MMF-1s
I really like how the 1s and 2 are really not redundant - they serve really different purposes in a setup. The way they ping, self oscillate and especially saturate/distort is very different. 1S is sort of a mixing module with awesome modulation capabilities, whereas the 2 is either two sine oscilla...

Vongon Ultrasheer. No CV, but it's encased in walnut, so it just belongs with synth stations.

Re: Moog Mother 32/Subharmonican/DFAM, as the center pieces of a Eurorack?
I’m thinking a subharmonicon would be cool to play with, but the reviews make it sound pretty squirrely to get a handle on. The thing that you can do with the subharmonicon that you can't with the mother-32 is play with 4-5-6 note chords through the Midi-in. Played from a keystep 37 it's a polyphon...

Re: What are your favourite analog effects modules?
their cascading analog delay network is a masterpiece Yeah, I have to agree that Pittsburgh's Cascading Delay Network is a jangled signal path juggernaut. I'm basically using it as my four channel mixer at the moment. It can create stereoed harmonic feedback, pseudo-panning, ping-pong-y reverb - al...

Re: Drum accent methodes
I have three patches that work for my setup. The first is to patch an LFO/waveshape to the FM on a sequence with a short gate. It's not exactly an accent, but it kind of does, because it can have a furious jazzy trap set kind of feel to it, where the beats are hitting on cymbal sounds and tom sounds...

I bought an MMF-1S from Maho and Wowa over the summer. I'm sharing two patches I made, one right two days ago before learning of Wowa's passing, which features the filter in oscillation mode, with Q acting like this happy bird flitting around town: https://soundcloud.com/wrong-trails/goose-bark And ...

Re: Dreadbox - Typhon
Hey all, Purchased a brand new Typhon from a large retailer recently. Latest firmware. I think it sounds incredible, but there's one thing I wanted to ask you about, something bothering me. With an 'init' saw patch, no modulation, and the resonance at its lowest point, I sweep the filter, and there...

I was hoping to be able to control the dynamics with note velocity, for a subtle, organic modulation or note length variation - Any tips? How do you use function generators and dynamic controllers? You need to use the Dynamics Controller for that stuff. The oscillator is totally raw and unquantized...

Re: Pittsburgh Modular Lifeforms SV-1b help - no sound.
There are a number of things that can result in the SV-1b not making sounds. Presumably, if your MIDI cable and MIDI/ARP module are connected properly, do the following on MONO mode to check stuff out (from right to left) (make sure the gate/hold light isn't bright yellow; it should fire with the en...
