Re: sequencer to replace Varigate 8+

You could consider the Knit Rider in 16hp for 6 trigger tracks and couple with another seq for melodies like Popcorn, Mimetic Digitalis, Octone, uOC depending on your needs/workflow Yeah, I never tried the Knit Rider. Is it good? I've checked out Popcorn and it's really cool but only one sequence w...

Re: sequencer to replace Varigate 8+

I have the VG8+VB combo and somewhat agree with your experience, but still want to keep it for drum sequencing.

Re: Quad+ VCA, but fun?

For me it can't be any better than the Intellijel Quad VCA in terms of usability and features (even if I don't own one yet, I still have uVCA II and Linix), but if you want save a couple of hp there's the Bastl Quattro Figaro with some other useful tricks like inverted cv outs in 10hp.

Re: Xaoc Jena, Drezno, Lipsk: Leibniz Binary Subsystem update!

Drezno comes up on all websites when i search for logic modules. im really interested in the concept of this module, the audio-rate stuff sounds nice and i think i have a good understanding....but can it actually do typical logic functions? none of the demos or the manual show what happens when you...

Re: Looking for a filter that will....like Plague Bearer

I don't have a PB so I'm not very familiar how it pings, but you could give a try with a Bastl Cinnamon, having a drive input and 3 resonance responses it can create several kind of pings (small and inexpensive too).

I've found a Drezno and Lipsk to start, I think I'll look for a Jena really soon.
There will be other planned modules for the subsystem?

Re: Xaoc Jena, Drezno, Lipsk: Leibniz Binary Subsystem update!

Thanks again, the difference between inversion and bit mangling confused me at first, I'll go with Drezno and Lipsk to start. I've already read the manuals and watched the Xaoc workshop a lot of stuff to digest at once.

Re: Xaoc Jena, Drezno, Lipsk: Leibniz Binary Subsystem update!

I'm starting to get interested in this system, I am wrong assuming the Drezno bit inputs and Lipsk gate inputs perform the same operation? No. The Drezno bit input is simply mixed together and send to the Drezno output. If Drezno is in link-mode, the Drezno bit inputs overwrite the bits coming from...

Re: SSF Stereo Dipole filter

Has anyone had any issues with distortion and crackling? Just got a Dipole last week -- super excited about it -- but it seems like it has an issue? I'm getting distortion and crackling when freq and resonance are on low (and the drive knobs are turned completely down). This crackling happens on LP...

Re: Mutable Instruments Rings

Anyone have an alt firmware they'd be willing to share? I'm hoping for one with infinite decay time and, if possible, disables the normalization of the STRUM input to V/OCT. I'd try to do it myself, but I don't know how much that one Fortran class I took 30 years ago will help... Why not just send ...

Re: Verbos Multi Delay Processor

Each tap receive the signal from the input mix jack, eg. when the delay time knob is a x1 tap 2 is delayed by 75ms, tap 3 150ms and so on. Moving the time knob changes each tap delay time in proportion eg. CCW tap 2 will be around 7.5ms (75x0,1) and CW 150ms (75x2). this is technically incorrect, f...

Re: Verbos Multi Delay Processor

i think that's where i'm confused. if i am using taps 2 and 3, what is 3 receiving? the input? the sound from tap 2? if i understand what you mean by sequentially, i interpret that to mean tap 3 is receiving the signal as delayed by tap 2. is that right? are taps 2 and 3 delaying the signal at "75"...

I'm not certain what the values at the bottom of the slider correspond to though.
I think that values are the times in ms when the time knob is at noon 1x time.

Re: Malekko 8NU8R jumpers?

IIRC when the jumpers is off and the button is pushed you have half wave rect and full wave rect with jumper on.
Anyway you can easily check by sending an LFO into it and the out to the pitch of your VCO, you can easily hear the different modulation it produces.

Re: Mini Mod Owners - Cascaded VCA or VCO

I have a simple AJH voice (VCO-VCF-VCA-ENV), the VCA overdrives nicely when pushed hard and having a mixer and 2 vca in series is great. In the VCO the triangle sounds very good with its little spike in the waveform, it sounds more present than other vcos with a more precise waveform and I think I'l...
