Re: Common misconceptions about clouds and rings

Oh great thread, glad someone bumped it. I’ve had a Clouds clone for a couple months and know I haven’t been using it to it’s potential. Gonna try all these.

Re: Befaco VCMC voltage controlled MIDI controller

I have an Elektron Analog Rytm MkII - could the VCMC basically turn my Rytm into a eurorack module? I could trigger up to 8 of its pads using cv?

Re: Analog Rytm MKII

Anyone using their Rytm MkII with a Eurorack rig? I friggin love my Rytm but I've been building my Eurorack rig, and wanting to integrate the two with more than just a clock. Curious as to what modules & configurations people are using to transform their Rytm into a modular drum system. Would someth...

Re: Qu-Bit Surface - Multi-Timbral Physical Modeling Voice

I have a small setup so far with a Matriarch and a few modules, and an Elektron Rytm Mk2 for drums. Just got a Surface and realizing I have nothing cool and rhythmic to trigger it with. What's a practical module to sequence it with? I have a Maths & Zadar - would they work? I don't have a Pam's yet ...

Absolutely hated the ndlr, programming melodies and chords has never felt so tedious.
Yeah it’s not really designed for “programming anything”. It’s just like a super arp.

What’s your fav sequencer?

Re: BaxandallEQ from Konstant Lab

Yeah kind of. I’d say they would compliment each other quite well. I was using it mostly to pump up some sources or to run my Juno through a signal chain featuring this on the stereo fx in my modular. It comes quite handy when you have a final mix in your modular and you want to smooth up the edges...

Yah I'm trying to decide between this and the Serge ResonantEQ for like $250 USD more. Doesn't seem to be too many analog stereo EQ's out there.

BaxandallEQ from Konstant Lab

Just saw that Konstant Lab posted their first demo of their BaxandallEQ. Shipping worldwide now for 139e. https://www.konstantlab.audio/shop/baxandalleq/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbvKkyAV-x0 It was never easier to treat your mono-stereo system or external instruments, whole mixes with a touch...

Re: 1010music Bluebox - Compact Digital Mixer/Recorder

Damn, I'm slowly getting away from traditional synths and building up my rack. Was just looking for my first eurorack stereo mixer, EQ, and recorder. Might just scrap all that and get a Bluebox!

Is there an oscilloscope in here too?

Re: Arturia Keystep pro

Help me decide between Keystep Pro and the Pyramid (I've ruled out the Hermod as I don't think I want to do sequencer in my case). Keystep is newer, cheaper, and has a proper keyboard, which is great because I was trained on the piano. Both can control both CV and MIDI, which is great I have a hybri...

Re: Eurorack Stereo EQ

I am using a 4HP Stereo BaxandallEQ in my case alongside PanoramaMIX (both from Konstant Lab inSlovakia). I don’t think the BaxandallEQ is listed on their site yet but I contacted Pavel after seeing it on the PanoramaMIX photo and asked about it and he advised he could sell me one of the ones they ...

Berhinger is great, mastering traditional synths hurt your modular journey, a Moog Grandmother is an instant synth, and don’t trust your ears. M’kay.

Re: Marbles Alternative

I’ve never heard a demo of Bloom or Marbles sounding that great, honestly, but I’ve never owned either.

If you want a sequencer that’s fun and sounds awesome, check out the NDLR. It’s like a super arpeggiator that controls 4 synths. Loopop did a killer review of it.

Re: Cheapest Early Moog system

Get a Moog Grandmother, and nothing else, to start. It’s friggin amazing. You’ll learn subtractive synthesis and the basics of modular by patching it to itself. It has a basic sequencer to get you started. If you know nothing about synthesis, spend $129 on the Syntorial app (PC Mac iPad). Once you ...

Which features would you want in an analog stereo eq? Size, functions, price etc.

Asking for a friend 🙂
Ohhh very nice! And at 80e too. You ship to the US?

So it’s analog? How does it compare to the Happy Nerding Tritone? Two of these together would make a nice stereo pair?

Re: Befaco STMIX - 4 Channel Stereo Mixer

Key question is how many things do you want to be able to mix in stereo? How much HP do you want to dedicate this (and the outs).? Do you need the attenuators? Currently I have a Moog Matriarch and a few modules. I was just patching everything back into the Matriarch’s mixer or VCA. I’ve quickly ou...
