This is a great, great module. Very live. In combination with a filter: insane. In combination with the 4ms Spherical Wavetable Navigator: magic.
Hoping for similar magic with 4MS Ensemble and Cloud Terrarium. Possibly also the Disting EX after the recent firmware additions.

Re: Qu-Bit Bloom

Does anybody know if Qu-Bit uses the same encoders that Xaoc Zadar seems to be having SO many issues with? I am VERY confident they can't using optical at this size and cost with that number of encoders. Of course Zadar uses an algorithm to accelerate through selections, where Bloom doesn't really n...

Re: Introducing Maestro - 6 channel clocked modulation controller from Acid Rain Technology

How’s this compared to the voltage block? Say you wanted to sequence a filter cutoff to open on the 8th step? Is the maestro the better tool for the job? I find the VB workable, but kind of finicky for the task. On this topic Omri Cohen LOVES his VB, but he is disappointed that it's 5V only. Some o...

Re: Befaco Muxlicer

Sorry to hear. Sounds like most everything is working except being able to change the internal voltage range. (I’m assuming that there’s no cable inserted into the ALL IN jack, or any of the MUX I/Os. A cable in the ALL IN jack would disable the internal voltage range function.) If you’re handy wit...

Re: Befaco Muxlicer

Hmm ... I can get a change on my VCA when I hook it up as you have. Perhaps there’s a different way of hooking things up to see if it’s working for you: Connect the Com I/O of the Muxlicer to the CV in of a VCO. (Set up your VCO so you can hear it’s output.) Start the Muxlicer moving through its se...

i think, that steps mean not work each switch actuation, but *hold* switch, so continuos.

smooth wave is from slider after range change.
you could hear the switch click with speaker volume up.
Thanks for the vid.

From Befaco: Hi Mark, The Range of the output of muxlicer is 0-10v, and the adjustement doesn't work on steps, is continuos. Hope this solves your question. Best, Mattin I'm not sure what that even means. :bang: I'll have an O'tool scope in a few days to get a better idea exactly what's happening.

0V - 9.73V Holding the encoder, push and *hold* the switch. Each actuation seems to no effect. hope this helps. I just performed the following test. Nothing connected to Mux. Connected Com I/O to CV input of Intellijel VCA. Stopped sequence on channel two. Did the encoder push / play switch dance. ...

Re: Qu-Bit Bloom

I totally agree that Qu-Bit should've named it Note Repeat instead of Ratchets. That said, Note Repeat is a really nice feature. You can work around the Note Repeat issue with ratcheted trigs to Bloom's Clock input. I rarely use a steady clock, it's much more fun jacking in rhythmic patterns. That ...

Re:

You can set the range of that voltage by holding down the SPEED DIV/MULT button and flipping the Play switch up to increase the voltage, or down to decrease the voltage. (I tested it and it works.) As far as I can tell the range doesn't change for me at all. Can anyone tell me what the high and low...

Has anyone heard if any progress has been made on fixing ratchets? Or should I say adding ratchets and removing "Note Repeat", which was always misnamed Ratchets.

Re: Mutable Instruments Plaits

As a general comment if modules use pots and not encoders it's not very practical to save states as described. My Qu-bit Bloom sequencer saves states between channels despite having pots. If you touch the pot returning to the channel it snaps to wherever the knob is. Otherwise the prior condition st...

Re: ES-5 w/ES-8 in VCV rack

As a follow-on to this, I have since replaced ES-8 with ES-9 in my rack. Tonight I tried experimenting with attaching to my old Dell laptop. Since doing so the only sample rate that seems to work on my Mac is 96khz. Anything else and the ES-5/ESX-8CV don't work at all. The ESX freaks out entirely an...

Re: Plaits Percussion?

If you have an Es-9 there’s not many reasons I can think that you would want to use anything else. You can be precise and as complicated as you want without sacrificing much cash or hp. That said I had issues doing this kind of programming in the short time I had a Plaits but if it can be done with...

Using Disting dual Euclidean pulse sequencer feeding into a matrix mixer to convert the pulses to different voltage levels. If you leave the module off for half an hour the time it cools down and turns it back on, it works or goes immediately into faulty. Mine works for 20,30,40 minutes it works then goes crazy for this I think it's a temperature problem

I don't know how many volts Muxlicer outputs, but if you set Plaits to the 1st percussion voice, you'll only need 4volts to reach all the others ;)
Sweet, I'll try that next week when my uPlaits and uPeaks arrive.

Re: Plaits Percussion?

[quote="mother misty" post_id=3416662 I think you have to ask yourself if you really need the whole range? If often use Plaits as a percussion voice, if I want the full range I use Stages, but I often find it easier if this range is restricted, so I can leave the models out that I don't want. [/quot...

Just adding another suggestion to the list, Xodes PV44 should help you get in the same territory:
