This is super inspiring! I love the matrix in there-- very nice work.
Lovely job on the case, too!

Audio Damage!
I also love Space Master and the Redline Reverb.
Reaktor is great in general: you can just build your own reverb and make it as good (or bad) as you need.

Yeah-- I'm really excited about the Monorocket Lexington case. Admittedly, it's pretty much out of my price-range, but I love the idea of 4 rows of 150HP each. That'll keep me in business for a long time, I think. For cheaper cases, the new ModularWorld (MW) cases linked above look pretty good (and ...

*drool* That's a beautiful front panel... It would make for a great gate sequencer. Can't wait to see what you come up with. I've always thought that Nixie tubes and modular synths would go well together. At a chemistry lab where I used to work, we actually used a pH meter that had five or six small...

How about Serge repairs? Does anyone have recommendations for people who have some experience getting Serge systems back into good condition? CalArts has a Serge modular synth (pictured below) that's in need of some repairs. I think it might just be a case of replacing some pots and some jacks, but ...

Beautiful! The slightly darker background screen is a cool idea.
I've always loved this module-- awesome to see it in euro.
I second Wetterberg here: Having some sort of distinction between ins and outs would be nice.

Fonik's right on-- the CGS stuff is great, and so is the music from outer space stuff. Still, it's nice to start with kits that include all of the parts, a panel, and clear wiring instructions. After a couple of Blacet kits, you'll be more than ready to dive into the projects that only include PCB's...

I totally second Cybanana on the Blacet Research kits. Prior to building my first module (A quad VCA), the only soldering I'd done was on a little Make Magazine persistence of vision kit (all of about ten parts). Blacet's instructions and tips were good enough, though, that the module looks complete...

Ooh-- good point, parasitk...

Motu's got a bit of a history with Mac-Only stuff (DP, etc.), so it might well not make it to Windows. Hmm...

The MOTU stuff is really cool since you'll be able to use the Volta software with it. That alone is enough to make me _very_ tempted to pick one up. I've used a few MOTU interfaces and am pretty happy with them (especially for the price). Like SandyB said, be sure to check out your laptop's firewire...

Very very simple circuits: http://www.uni-bonn.de/~uzs159/vca.html
I'm messing around with prototyping the VCA-2 circuit-- very simple, but I can't comment on the sound yet, since I don't have it up and running.

This is a great-looking module! I'm thrilled with the small size, too... I'd potentially be interested in polyphony (if only two voices), just to squeeze even more functionality out of this.

In any event, I think this will have a place in my new rack.
