I actually sold my modular recently to buy a used ti2 :omg: I don't regret it either. I know they are different methods entirely, but I was able to emulate many of the things I would do with my modular on the Virus with the ability to recall it in an instant and play it polyphonically! There is tons...

Headphone Recommendation for Vocalist

Hey! My gf needs some good studio headphones so i was going to get her a pair for christmas. I was thinking about the Shure SRH840. they seem like they have a nice flat response and good isolation. What other recommendations do you have? She will be using these to monitor while recording and for pra...

I consider the Virus line to be a group of badly underrated synths which offer an excellent option for those in need to complement their systems with a polyphonic sound module. Personally, I think the C is the best, but the TI, once you get past the hundreds of airy, atmospheric swooshing sounds an...

At the very least, get on the wait list. It will be a year at least, so you have time to save your $$$ 8-)

This is the thread I needed to read. I've been thinking about selling my modular to get a ti2. I need a more portable, reliable (patch memory) multi voiced synth. My modular is just becoming a money pit when I don't have money to put in to it. It would take another $4k to get my modular where I want...

I have the 10 stage diode vcf re-release, if that's what you're asking about. I really like the bandpass and highpass. The resonance can get painfully screechy fast but before that it's nice and percussive. I've also found that crunchy, messed up signals and noise bring the filter out and with clea...

BLC diode filter?

Anybody know anything about this filter? We got one in at my work. Looks like it might be a kit. It has highpass, bandpass, and lowpass inputs like the Steiner-Parker filter. I'll grab a pic tomorrow

If you go into "active step" and turn all the steps off and then go into "step jump" you can use it like a Serge touch keyboard and you won't have to hold down the step button :tu:

I'd be interested to hear what you come up with. For all I hear about V.A.S.T being the bee's knees with limitless possibilities, I've never really heard them doing anything particularly interesting. Maybe the interface inhibits in-depth exploration? Nine inch nails "downward spiral" album features...

I had a tourmaster for awhile, the tone shaping ability and diversity of sounds you could create for each channel where impressive! But 100 watts of tube power (tube powered EVERYTHING I might add, preamp, power amp, reverb, fx loop) was just too much for my general bedroom usage.

I actually touch on that in this video. You need more than one sequencer though. making SQ-1 more interesting
