Re: The Definitive Connecting Power Thread

Sorry to hear that...Have you got a multimeter or oscilloscope? You can check voltages across the PSU to see which component is damaged.
Does the PSU got a fuse? that may be blown away because of the short circuit. Check it and, if it is damaged, replace it.
Everything should be fine.

Re: Malekko Varigate 8+

Try turning down your clock trigger slightly, i send mine from the DAW and i have to turn it down like 1db so it doesnt skip, its clipping the input i think and skipping on clip, not sure why would do with internal clock. Worked for me anyway. edit - oh you meant the clock isn't skipping, but its n...

Hi all, Inspired by my own frustration with having to always open EAGLE to have a peek at the MI schematics, ===Moderator Edit=== Weblink removed ===Removed by Kent=== I have converted them all to PDFs and made them available online for quick and easy access. Another quick patch: self-patching the R output into L input with quality set to "scorched tape", letting the noise build up through feedback, then backing off on reverb, grain size and density and playing with the shape to make it choppy. https://soundcloud.com/starthief/beads-selfpatched-scorched...

Re: The Definitive Connecting Power Thread

Hey all! My first post on muffwiggler and I want to start it right, eg. with a stupid question. I just bought my first eurorack skiff with a Doepfer A-100 DIY PSU and two bus boards in it. I bought it second hand and it also has a power button, which the previous owner bypassed by taking the power ...

Re: Replacing Intellijel 1U Modules

1) I recommend Mutable Kinks, as it has a very decent noise built-in, S&H and more utilities than could expand your modulation combos. If you want a Noise dedicated module choose Quantum Rainbow for sure, loads of noises + the Quanta output gives a very good vinyl-ish sound, and the amount of "grain...

Hello, I’ve got an arbhar and love it, fantastic musical module. Im experience low comuterlike noice, very low, but it’s still there. Re: 3D printing PCB at home NOT milling

I can see the benefits of having a simple PCB made in just a day, but I think the machine is to expensive for DIYers, that most of the times can wait just a week for the arrival of their new test. The potential customer might be a bigger enterprise but, most of the times, they will be making designs...

The harmonic oscillator Easter Egg is amazing. Can't believe it's a hidden feature. Could be its own stand alone module. Now I have to get another one for envelopes.
I discovered the secret mode just recently and I though the same, :driving:

Re: Opinion - What should my next module purchase be?

Hey wiggly wigglers!!! from my point of view VCA's are not just a volume tool to control a generated sound but it may be even more useful used as a sidechain control as you were searching for. An example of this may be combining them with the combo of Rampage and AxB+C from Befaco, using rampage as ...

If you are on a Mac CV pal by Mutable Instruments is quick and easy. Or if you have a DC coupled audio interface you can clock straight with that. Download a trigger sample from make noise and put that on each 16th and send to a dedicated out on the sound card. Turn up the amplitude until the sampl...

Equilibrium between Acoustic panels width, monitor´s power and equidistant distance to them. If any of those get compromised or isn´t properlly balanced with the rest, doesn´t matter how much you spend.

I use EVE SC408 on my studio BTW.

Re: inverting signal to VCA

You need another module that inverts your signal. Could be a simple 2HP Inverter (Intellijel has one) or an Attenuverter, which can modify your CV attenuating it and/or inverting it. It depends on how full is your Rack to choose one tool or the other. If you don´t have any attenuverter in your syste...
