Re: Korg 2600 Mini

I believe the K2600 Mini is designed for 19” rack compatibility. if not it's awfully close, going by eyeballing with the "Volca unit" measurement. perhaps they wanted to do similar to Beh's rack-able offering, but give you the option of having it in the Tolex case as well. looking at my 2600 with a...

Re: Dave Smith hints at Sequential Prophet 5 Rev4/Prophet 10

Either he was telling the truth and Sequentix has an incredibly unprofessional approach to QC or he was making up a congenial cover for the fact Sequentix didn't do any QC. Either way it's surprisingly lax for a piece of electronic equipment selling for $3k. FYI: Sequentix make the Cirklon sequence...

Re: Moog Grandmother plus eurorack filt env

you could also get a Mother 32. OK the envelope isn't as good as the Grandmother's, since it's ASR instead of ADSR, with a switchable on/off Sustain. BUT you don't have to worry about power or a case, etc. and you obviously get a lot more besides just the envelope. including an LFO and an oscillator...

Re: *** Vintage dealers taking the piss on used market ***

Is it just me or is this market full of crooks? actually I think the crooks are the people who look at the past sales prices of a given synth/machine and try to sell theirs for that, regardless of whether theirs is in similar condition, serviced, etc. like I probably won't pay $10k for a 2600. but ...

Re: Where to store the packaging your gear comes in

I used to save 'em all. fortunately I have an attic, basement and garage. but any more, I only keep the boxes around for a little while until I'm pretty sure the thing isn't going anywhere any time soon. then I'll recycle 'em. and if I'm thinking of selling something, I'll keep the box from somethin...

you can’t argue with the sound. that kick is top notch. i really think jomox would benefit from collaborating with another manufacturer. amen, brother! you and 90% of all Jomox customers have been saying (or at least thinking) this for almost 30 years... https://media3.giphy.com/media/3o6MbisQwZAh4...

I started sequencing my alpha base with a cirklon and it’s like a whole new world. I’m kinda wishing there was an option for all the voices but without the alpha base sequencer (could save on space or maybe add more knobs). can you elaborate? are you just triggering the instruments from the Cirklon...

Re: Behringer 2600

It's sort of hard to put LED colors with ARP orange and not have it clash. I get the homage, but I think blue or white would have looked better with the multicolored led sliders. yeah I agree it's hard to put any LED colors with the black/orange and have it look good. I think sticking with just one...

I think it's got to be frustrating being a smaller company and having your product be desirable enough that people will wait years for it

You'll have to forgive a healthy dose of skepticism...been on the waiting list since Nov 2017, every 6 months there's some update about how things are going to move more quickly. I'm happy to wait for mine and support the manufacturer, but as for wait times, it's 3 years at present, and based on th...

Re: When gear has lots of features you don't use do you want to downgrade?

I don't care about functions I don't use. It bugs me to have gear I never use, though. this. if I don't use it entirely, I prefer to sell it for something I will. if there's just some features I don't use much, but I use the hell out of the thing otherwise, doesn't really bug me. I mean... I'm not ...

Re: Roland TR-06, TR-6s, TR-606 (cloud)

Never cared for the sound of the TR-606 but the five trigger outs on the TR-06 surely means it deserves its own thread? For anyone with a semi-modular, eurorack or just a few monosynths this look like a hugely useful controller. don't miss the trigger IN. can be used to shift an instrument's patter...
