Re: please have a look at my first build

And about the electrolytic caps - I was afraid to damage it if I push it down flush. But I will do that in the future :tu: Personally I think it's ok to have them like you did, knowing that the holes on the PCB seem larger than the space between the cap legs on your photo. I for instance push them ...

Re: 288r TIME DOMAIN PROCESSOR - PREORDER

Having played a bit more today I think I'm wrong on the pitch switch - it's the same speed but engages an envelope follower that modulates the delay speed. The pitch mode is a saw wave LFO that you are controlling the amplitude of. It makes a change in pitch because it is changing the delay time be...

Re: Plumbutter 2 .

So disappointed in plumbutter it just squeals . It don’t pop even tried copying patches . Getting nowhere with it no matter how many times I watch various vids Ok I thought I'd give it a try, no matter what I wrote in my previous post. Need to know first. Even if my questions seem stupid or have an...

If you have a clear photo of what you do or even a video, than it is possible to help, but like this, I for instance am unfortunately incapable of helping. My internet connection is shitty, but it doesn't cost anything to try. I'd cut the cam from my side, but I'd need to see your machine and we cou...

Re: Recommend cable and plugs for DIY Eurorack patch cords

Chris @ Redco Audio here. We are looking to see if GS-4 Canare is available in other colors without having to make a massive buy in. Canare USA only imports Black currently, but may bring in other colors upon request, the big question is the MOQ. Not sure what it will be used for, but as info there...

Re: 225e midi section bricked

Is your 30U system mostly "e" series or mostly 200 series? The actual setup is 50/50. Currently 15U of 200e. All was running fine too with 18U of "e". Like you said it's from a certain amount of "e" modules that a bus repeater will be useful. Obviously over 18U. It's good Doug did these repeaters. ...

Re: 225e midi section bricked

Would be nice to see a simple method come out of Buchla USA.... or indeed some new firmware to address all these bugs! What do you mean with "all these bugs"? Just curious as from time to time I think it'd be nice to have a 255e in the system. Oh.... just the well known things that have already bee...

Re: attack on envelope using slew (help)

From the 2 scope photos you are posting, what you get is the inversion of what you want to happen. So you're not far from the solution isn't it? I mean if I understand what you are doing, which is emulating a circuit, than you just need to invert the signal (and amplify it to get the same signal lev...

I repaired and moded an old machine a few days back. To test it for the first time I hooked it to the BugBrand modular system. I didn't even took time to clean it and install knobs, cause I wanted to rapidely check it after having spent quite a lot lot of time on repairing it. I'll paint the grey pa...

Re: Plumbutter 2

Does it ? I don’t understand one bit ! You look at picture and try referencing the number and colour code then have to scroll down to try and figure out . I don’t understand why for all the money you pay why they can’t just put in with it . . Is there a master volume ? I haven’t a clue how it works...

Now the machine is clean. Temporary panel on top, someday I'll make a black alu panel instead. And one day I'll also check how to do start/stop input. First I'll play a bit with it when I feel better. https://batchas.com/DIY/Ace-Tone-Rhythm-Ace-FR6/Ace-Tone-FR6.jpg A couple of internal rhythms: list...

Re: Anyone with a Ace Tone Rhythm Ace FR-6?

The song is really cool, enjoyed it. Don't know if it's because i'm listening on my notebook but your FR6 seems to sound a bit cleaner as my Tr77. Maybe due to the power that I use now? I unmounted all the elements related to the original power, bigs caps filtering, resitors. Instead I mounted in t...

Re: Anyone with a Ace Tone Rhythm Ace FR-6?

Those pot's for the voices are those only volume controls or are they tone controls? In my Tr77 they are only working as volume controls, as is shown in the schematic. But in my CR78 there are pots for shaping the tone of the voice, trimming the resonance at which it swings. btw. is the red socket ...

Re: Anyone with a Ace Tone Rhythm Ace FR-6?

For now I implemented ext. clock, trigs and installed pots instead of trimmers (which were nearly dead). Like this it's easier for me to control but also to learn the voice circuit. I like the way BD, LC and HC do resonate. I like your post. These are the questions I was asking myself. Adding a star...

Re: Anyone with a Ace Tone Rhythm Ace FR-6?

External clock is now working :tu: It works when I inject the external clock at Q103-B and it’s inversion at Q102-B. The tempo pot has no effect, so it’s good, the external clock being now the master clock. https://batchas.com/DIY/Ace-Tone-Rhythm-Ace-FR6/FR6_clocksync.jpg I’ll add a switch later to ...
