Re: just looking for ideas - i have created a monster!?!

Hi. I'm new here and new to modular. I have a small case I build myself with custom rails from etsy, and some modules that complement my moog semi modulars. Looking like a system like this makes my head spin. It would be very interesting for me to hear tscope do a walk through of some example patche...

Mutable instruments elements.

I picked up one and have been playing around. I can't really figure out the relationship with the trigger / gate and contour for the "bow" generator It seems that I need to hold the gate for a very long time to trigger the bow. I understood the manual in a way that after the trigger (short) , the co...

Any particular reason it can't shrink down smaller than 10HP?
I just soldered everything to a perfboard just to get something going.

I am working on a PCB but I'm learning whil doing here... 😜
When I sort out my PCB, I can make it as narrow as the esp32 devkit. Perhaps half the width.

Re: Get some beats going

Elements is a good drum module! But other than that I find drum modules to be either rather demanding or rather pointless. Either they have tons of modulation inputs and you can make some really complex stuff with them but just using them for set and forget drum sounds will feel like a waste and gr...

Get some beats going

I have a semi-modular setup with the Moog Mother 32, Subharmonicon, and a Grandmother for keys. I build myself a 6U 120 HP case and have started adding some CV mixing, a Pico DSP, and a discounted MI Elements to get some other sounds going than the Moogs. I want to create ambient and instrumental / ...

Suggestions needed for drum modules and mixing

Hey, I have a setup with a Mother32, Subharmonicon, Grandmother, and a Eurorack setup to complement. This is all in its infancy, but I have a clear goal in mind; that is to have a setup that I can turn on and jam with - without having my Mac & Logic booted up. This is my setup now; https://cdn.modul...

Re: 3.5mm Jack sockets with rgb led

I've never seen a jack with the LED built in, but the base of all jacks is open, It wouldn't be too difficult to achieve the same effect placing the light under the jack. Are any of the modules with illuminated jacks available as DIY kits? Maybe you can see how they have achieved it. Now became unc...

3.5mm Jack sockets with rgb led

I'm terribly sorry of this is a repeating question, but I did search before I posted 😜

I've seen some mudules with knobs and even Jack sockets with rgb lights. Any idea where to buy those?

I'm probably not searching for the right terms. A typical beginner problem... 😁

WIP: The Internet connected Esp32 Clock/LFO/Thing

Hey, I don't really know electrical engineering, so bear with me please. Fake it 'until you make it, right? I have a small project going where I want to configure LFOs/Clocks and timers/anything from outside the Eurorack module itself. Possibly from a desktop or Ipad app. 20210302_094241.jpg So far ...

Re: The 2021 Show Us Your DIY Builds Thread!

I designed the panel in OnShape CAD, and cut it on a CO2 laser cutter in walnut hardwood. Not sure if that is going to hold it's more brittle than I anticipated - I think I now know why most panels are aluminum :) hell yeah, i made a lot of panels out of laser cut plywood (got lucky with a job havi...

Re: Suggestions for sound manipulation / effects

We talked a bunch about Moog stuff in this thread. Not sure you are into the same type of music, but from my experience these modules can add a lot to the Moogs. Check it out. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=244007 Nice! I have a twice the space - but that thread looks like exactl...

Suggestions for sound manipulation / effects

Hi I just got into semi-modular and modular this Christmas. I had been thinking about making electronic music for a while and pulled the trigger on the Moog Mother32, Subharmonicon, and a Grandmother. I have some background in music theory and have basic keyboard skills, so I wanted something with k...

Re: Post pics of your euro setup!

Hey, 20210222_155000.jpg This is a picture of baby steps into modular and semi-modular. I started exploring this huge area during Christmas, and things kind of escalated quickly. I initially bought a Mother 32, played with it, and got very enthusiastic. Then I added the Subharmonicon, scratched my h...
